Does anybody know if this vizio problem can be fixed. TV is 42 inch vizio E420VO. Anybody fixed such a problem?

yes but is possible to get a replacement screen. Does the whole panel (backlight panel and lcd) has to be replaced?Comment

Used 42" LCD panel is still expensive, you need to get the model nimber of the screen from the sticker on teh LCD panel, make sure to get the correct version number so when you transfer the T-CON and the backlights inverter boards to the new panel, they will fit.
