Vizio Picture goes black....

60" 2006 Vizio Plasma...You power up & after an intermittent time (few seconds to few minutes) picture goes black; audio stays on; power stays on.
From what I've been able to learn it may be the main board...anyone else had this problem or could help?
Any help would be appreciated.

What is the model number?
Do you have a Voltage/Ohm's meter (VOM) or digital multi meter (DMM)?
How do you feel about taking the set apart?

Model is VM60P HDTV10A. Yes, I have a meter & no problem taking apart--thanks...

Begin by disassembling the TV and taking pictures. We can tell you where to check for supply voltages and other simple checks. The main board sounds plausible but it could also be a cold solder joint or a loose connector.
