vizio vw42L no sound or picture

have no picture or sound but power comes on and light is red next to plug , can someone help me?

Oddly enough you are not the first to ask.
See "Search" above - Type vw42L into the search and read some/all of the previous posts. This will give you some idea of the information/pics /details of your problem, your abilities and your tools that you will have to provide
If you then return and make a second post stating what you have done/tried someone may be able to assist you. You may not even have to, you may be able to use the information you glean to fix it without assistance.

As a first idea you could try and find if there is a factory reset for this tv
on line and try that, if you have not already.
