What is the number on the white sticker (DO-xxxxxx)? I have a V420H1-C07 tcon in my spare parts box but the number on the barcode sticker is what is needed to see if its a match or compatible.

You should look into new T-CON board at this point.

I tried to resolder the piece in question with no change in results. Picture fades as soon as it comes on.

I will solder the joints tonight and see what happens. I hope it's that easy.

Since it start working when you touch that area with probe, I would try resoldering that area first. It can be the MOSFET, or the IC, ETC.

Wow, ok. So does this MOSFET just need replaced? And on the datasheet link which one is it??

Correction on post 219, it is connected to pin 5, this is the step up power supply for VAA. It runs at real high frequency, 280KHz ~1.08MHz.
    The IC is: S8333,

When I don't get clear focused pictures, I can only guess at what the part can be.

Many people don't realize how difficult remote troubleshooting is when we don't have the board in front of us. You are the eyes, ears, etc for us.

That looks like MOSFET to me too, it is QP17 and its GATE pin driven by UP2 pin 4, it is part of the switching power supply. Can you read the P/N on UP2?
You can see V5.6V input feeding the pin of the inductor LP4, the other pin is connected to the Drain (Middle/tab) pin of the MOSFET, the output Diode Anode (DP21) is also connected to the Drain pin, the Cathode pin is the output pin, so it looks like a Boost regulator.

according to post #170 its a voltage regulator. Of course I am only going by what I read on here, I really dont know what either one are! Im learning as I go!

Going by its position I'd say that's a MOSFET not a voltage regulator.

How about the pictures of your board, so we may see what is going on with YOUR board?

I have hit a wall. I was following this post here, just to quickly sum up my symptons for you......

I was following along nicely, things were good, then i got to the step where it was asked to measure the pins on the voltage regulators on the t-con board. I measured the first one, which would be the one of the top of the pic.

    Pin 1- 2.48
    Pin 2- 0
    Pin 3- 3.25

Exactly what the OP got, and was said it was accurate. cool .

Was going to check the second one( the right side of the pic), went i put the red tip of my meter on PIN 2 it caused a little "zap" and very high frequency sound and THE PICTURE CAME ON!! I fiddled with it a couple times and the picture would go on and off as i was poking it. with the zap and high frequency sound.

I sat back and it stayed on. So, i think i found the problem, although i dont know what i found!!

Could this be a bad voltage regulator? Is it just a bad soldering joint? I have never messed with it, so can joints just go bad over time and need to be fixed?

For clairification, while i am measuring the second voltage regulator, i have sound, green power light, back lights on, no picture.

    Pin 1- 0
    Pin 2- 5.38
    Pin 3- 0

Thank you for reading this and I hope it makes sense.

I was able to measure the second voltage regulator while the picture was on and it was different.

    Pin 1- 2.5
    Pin 2- 3.5
    Pin 3- 0

Please help me understand what's going on.

On the surface mounted polarized cap, the BAR is positive, you can verify that with the DMM.

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

Philips 42PFL5432D/37 power supply issue no 12v
    by Ifixstuff9
I have a Philips TV that shows no signs of life when plugged in - no standby LED, no response to buttons, no noises, nothing. This model is well known for having bad caps, so I started by replacing a few of them (3x 35v 1500uf and 1x 2200uf 16v). I don't know the history of the TV but it looks like someone's been at it before because some of the solder joints looked really bad, so I re soldered them as well.

After swapping the caps I still got no signs of life so I started checking voltages, and found that the board is supplying 24v but not 12v. Here's what I measured on the connector...

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
    by aidanmo
    Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
    • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
    • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
    • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

Philips 50PUH6400 bad color and gosting / slow motion on one side
    by Cornito
    Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.

Activate power board Philips 40PFH40009/88 tv
    by spantor
    Hello partners.

Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...
