Just an overall shot of the bottom of the board.

I think you probably got a dud board, but I'm not sure. If you have a scope, you could test the scan voltages.

No - bottom of the board. Usually green.

have just checked Va and Vs again on power board while Y board is out of tv and voltages are holding now.
So am looking at replacing Y board again.

              Yes. I've highlighted some components.

Blue circled components = probably diodes. Use your meter on the diode range. Check them one way, and the other. You should get ~0.5V one way, and infinite the other.

Red circled components = Check all pairs of two pins for short circuits using the ohm range. You should find no continuity between any two pins.

Are those all the transistors? It would be strange for all to be shorted. Could you list which pins are shorted? (Typically drain-source shorts, or drain-gate.)

441 both ways indicates a problem with measuring in circuit.

You may have to desolder each MOSFET and test it individually.

Or you could send the board back as faulty as it looks a lot like it is.

I will desolder the components tomorrow and test them again, but I have been offered another tested board for £15 so will buy that and see what happens.
Can the buffers blow the new board or should it be ok?

Yes, a bad buffer can damage a Y board.

I would advise you change both at the same time as the buffers may be causing all of your problems. Seems to be the only part you haven't yet changed!

Is there anyway I can test the y buffer board without connecting it to the y board?
The buffer boards i have are both pcb no:LJ41-08594A.
Have got the new y board but dont want to risk blowing it without testing the buffers.
                          Thanks guys

Post a picture of the board - a multimeter ohm test can find most (but not all) failures.

                                  Plug buffer into sustain board.

                                  Connect sustain board power.

                                  DO NOT TURN ON TV!

Test resistance between each red arrow (any pin) and ground.

Actually, can post a close up pic of the connector on your board? I can't see if the sustain voltage is on those pins or if they are data signals.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
