    I guess it's possible on this chassis too. LG and Panasonic don't have this issue any more... come on Samsung!

        Yeah, I wasn't expecting the Y-Sus to blow up like it did. I just plugged in the AC line without turning on the TV, and POOF! When I get some spare time, I might dive more into this issue. The preliminary tests I've executed haven't revealed any discernible differences between my good board and my suspect boards.

        Edit: I just remembered that I did see a small spark when I was connecting the Y-Sus to the buffer. I wonder if I didn't allow enough time for the buffer to discharge before hooking up the Y-Sus???

            i have the same Plasma but when i turn it on it clicks and then it make a buzzing noise inside the screen but no pic

                    Buzzing noise = good chance the plasma panel has a crack.

                        I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                        Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                        I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                        The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                        With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                        Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together.                         Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

                        I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

                        I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

                        The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
