Samsung LE32R73BDX LED flashing - Caps changed

Hi all ,got a slight variation on the theme of RED led flashing & relay clicking on a Sammy LE32R73BDX & wondered if any had seen this before/had any ideas?
    (PSU is : BN96-03775A)

Caps in the secondary have been changed & voltages checked on loads but when put back into the chassis the LED just flashes once a second immediately power is applied ,(doesnt go to steady standby first). Unable to put the set into SERVICE mode (INFO>MENU>MUTE>POWER) because it's not going into standbby when power is applied, it immediately flashes the red led.

Is this an EEPROM issue guys or anyone got other ideas ?

    Thanks in advance.

replace 256kbit eeprom on mainboard. ripple caused by bad caps kills the eeprom or corrupts the data (all the user settings). TV tries to read the corrupted garbage, can't make any sense of it and halts. (or it can't read it at all because the eeprom is unresponsive/dead)

a 24C256 is what you're looking for. Usually an Atmel near the CI card slot on the solder side of the mainboard.

Labelling on the chip might be not what you'd expect

one my samsung, the chip said
    ATMLH834
    2EB 1

    which means that it's a 256KBit 2-wire serial eeprom (24c256b)

Page 14 (Part marking scheme for SO8 aka 8-SOIC) fits perfectly.

instead of buying a new eeprom, you could also overwrite it with all FF's (= zeroes) if you have the programmer and the eeprom isn't actually dead.

first powerup with the new/nulled eeprom will take considerably longer than normal (rewrites default data to the eeprom before starting)

PS: fun fact: a lot of samsung LCD TV's (2007/2008 and newer) run a miniscule linux

try changing the chip mounted on the heatsink its got the metal shroud / clip on it had that go before

i think you need some heat compound on the new one
      the ic costs about £3-£4

Samsung QE55Q60TAUXXU - flashing backlight and flashing standy light--no image
            by learnmore
            Hello Community!

            CASE DETAILS

Promblem Signs: Backlight on 1 sec off 7sec > repeat && Red standby light: 1blink, off 3 sec, 2 blinks, off 5 secs, 2 blinks, off 3 sec, restart cycle

13V present on powerboard output. Backlight continues flashing after removing cables to pannel one at a time and even with both disconnected. NOTE: backlight STOPs flashing and remains on when connector between powerboard and mainboard (note Tcon built in) is disconnected.

Tried inserting firmware on USB and left it in for a few hours, but no change

            Samsung 225MW EEPROM bootloop
            by Jacksoft
            Hi all,
I got an old Samsung 225MW TV with BN41-00825 motherboard.
Since the TV has a buzzer when it starts it makes a beep. The main problem is that the TV goes in a sort of bootloop and beeps every 2-3 seconds.
So I attached the VGA UART cable and read the debug data using a RT809H programmer:

According to the Service Manual all the voltages looks good, so I made a backup of the internal flash and all the EEPROMs (1 Settings + 3 EDID) and cleaned the EEPROM.
Now the TV boots but it's stuck on VGA. If I try to change the source it goes to TV, restarts...
