Vizio SV470XVT1A - Displays Red Pixels and Lines

I have a Vizio SV470XVT1A and after about five minutes of being turned on it
begins displaying red pixels and red lines on dark areas of what's being displayed on the screen. It does not matter what input is used, the red pixelation occurs whether you use hdmi, composite, or external antenna inputs.

Other than the red pixel problem the TV works, ie; sharp picture, sound works, inputs all work, etc.

I pulled the cover off the back and have checked all the connectors to make
sure they were properly seated. I also inspected for bad caps and fuses and
I am getting steady 24 and 5 voltages from power supply.

From the various internet forums I have read its either the LVDS cables, the motherboard, the daughter board, the t-con board, the power inverter boards, the LCD screen, etc. I'd like to narrow it down a bit.

Please keep in mind that I am not electronics technician, but a sophisticated wire wiggler and I do have a multimeter and I can do almost anything, as long as it's explained to me in English and not Technospeak.

    Any help is appreciated.

Re: Vizio SV470XVT1A - Displays Red Pixels and Lines

Sounds like the LCD Video Processor over heated and not making a good contact, might wanna try the Coin and heat gun trick, on the Main board and LCD Video board. Would it be possible that I could get a copy of the Service Manual Please. texas1978@hotmail.com working on one with a problem not coming on, just when plugged in shows the orange vizio immediately and the 5.1 red dolby light comes on as well. No response from Power button. What happened is i tripped the breaker while it was running, tried to turn the breaker off to work on some outlets in my shop.

    thanks,
    Jeremy

I have the same problem... has this been fixed? If yes, how? I am very hands on and cheap so I'll try anything myself first - just need to know what I am looking for!

      Thanks

Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
        by brad2157
I picked up a Vizio E70-E3 for free that shows Vizio logo and then goes to a black screen. Original owner said he started having wifi issues and then he tried to reset the TV and that's when it wouldn't boot up any longer after his reset attempt. I picked up a replacement main board from eBay that matches the same model # board as the original from the TV.

Original main board - Shows Vizio logo when TV powers on, then goes to black screen. Doesn't boot up. No screen issues with any lines on start up Vizio logo.

Replacement main board - Boots up fine, but starting...

Vizio V585-J01 dancing lines and image doubling
        by x_orange90_x
I got this tv yesterday and it shows a screen full of colored vertical bars and horizontal lines that move, change, and dance around. When the set is powered on there is a slight buzz from the tcon. I removed one ribbon at a time and this was the result:

Right side connected, left side disconnected = half image on right (somewhat distorted, see photo attached) white screen on left. NO buzzing from TCON

Left side connected, right side disconnected = right side black, left side white with distorted horizontal lines near top of screen. Buzzing from TCON

        I swapped...

Sharp (Hisense) LC-55p6050u - Flashing/dimming row of pixels
        by DrvLikHell
Hello again! I have come back for some wisdom and hopefully for some guidance with this problem I'm having. The TV is a 4k 55" Sharp LC-55p6050u and the problem is every other line of the bottom 32 lines flickers out, comes mostly back, then flickers out again, and repeats this continually. The lines on the bottom right of the screen go out completely while the lines on the bottom left are affected so slightly that it's almost impossible to see it. There is a gradual gradient from appearing almost perfectly fine on the bottom left, to an obvious problem on the bottom right.

        The...

vizio e65 e3 LED tv color vertical lines center tv only
        by viking509
I recently replaced the led backlights with LB65041 LED Backlight Strips and after putting it back together the backlights work but there are only colored vertical lines only in the center of the tv. I can see the Netflix logo (jumbled) after a minute or less the screen went dark. When I turned it on again the lines were back. Then I replaced the t-con board but the same vertical lines in the picture. My question is what is my next step? Could it be a source tab bond issue? A buffer board issue? Could I have loosened a connection to the panel when replacing the backlights? Should I replace the...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...
