These forums have been so helpful to me recently, and I can't thank everyone enough, and now I have my own little problem that I can't find any answers on.
So I bought this LG 47LE5400 damaged. The previous owner tripped over an HDMI cable that was plugged into it, and now none of the HDMI ports work. It was on a single side port, away from the other 3 HDMI ports on the board. It has obvious damage inside the port.
My question is: is the board salvagable? Can the port be either replaced or disabled, making the other ports work?
Any advice would be extremely appreciated. Replacement boards aren't too expensive on e-bay, but if I can save $80-90, I'd certainly prefer to. Plus in the meantime until I get the money, the component inputs work fine.
Thanks in advance!
