    coby tfdvd2695 power issues

I just picked up this tv with known power issues. I figured it was a bad capacitor and would be an easy fix as I have done quite a few of them. Well, the capacitors look good.

Here is what happens, when I plug it in the blue standby light lights up but when I hit the power button the screen comes on white then the tv shuts off along with the standby light. The standby light will come back on and do the same loop when I unplug the tv.

I am kind of a novice in the electronics world so if i ask a dumb question please be kind to me. Ha ha

Test the resistance of the secondaries of the inverter transfomers (while unplugged.) They should all measure within +/-3% of each other, except for one, if a failed transformer is responsible.

      1. Pictures help - a lot.

      2. A white screen sounds more like a main board or tcon issue than an inverter issue.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.
