i have this tv..i had a fire at my apartment but the room the tv was in had little to no damage...i did notice on the tv when i cleaned that it was a lot of soot however...now the tv shows extremely bright and adjusting the "bright control" does not help also around the peremiter theres like a halo....does anyone know whats going on and what if anything i can do? HELP!!!

Fire damage is a very tricky thing. The soot may be conductive and be interfering with the operation of the inverter. The first thing would be to try to claim on an insurance policy. If that fails, take the TV apart, and give it a very good clean. I suggest bathing all of the components in warm soapy water and allowing them to dry for 24 hours before replacing them in the TV. Also, heat (even just 50-60 degrees C) can damage an LCD panel.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

thanks tom66...unfortunately NO INSURANCE at that time...i will try the bathing of the components..sometimes it seems that the picture is getting a lil better than when i first plugged it up...at least i can make out the picture nowComment

Hey everyone,
the picture on my philips monitor looks way too bright so that black appears grey and colors also seem too bright.
While i tried to tilt the screen a little bit while it was displaying a picture, iยดve noticed, that there appeared some purple pixels. In the following picture
you can see them on the top half of the photo.
At a certain point during the tilting, the picture looked normal again but as soon as i laid it back down, the purple pixels were gone and the picture was bright again.

Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).
After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

Hey I am having Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu. Works fine when I open any game or whatsapp windows application. The issues are :
Black screen, freeze
The weird thing is that when as long as the laptop is running on igpu the problem keeps happening. But as soon as I open any game or whatsapp windows application, the laptop works completely fine.
When the screen freeze or black screen I used to move the display lid up and down and it usually works like that.
So can anyone tell me what would be the possible cause?...
