Proline problem

Hi,
Have acquired yet another project - this time a Proline LVD1983wd tv/dvd which powers up ok and then all I get is a floating box saying "scart no input" or "DVD no input" and this happens with every input source and different cables. This is a first problem of this type for me. Anyone come across this before and could guide me towards where to start?

Have you taken the back off? I would start by looking for visibly bad caps on the Main board.

Also you may want to try contacting Proline and seeing if they have any kind of firmware update for it. Could possibly be all you need.

Sorry I should have said I have already been through all of the preliminaries and no obvious faults or bulged caps. The powerboard is fully working -its obviously something on the video board just not seen this particular symptom before where "no input" shows for every type of source.
