    Sony KDL46SL140 LCD television

This has been discussed on another Sony Model; although some symptoms are similar I wonder if there may be another answer on repairing this monitor?
This is a Sony KDL46SL140 LCD television
On initial power on I see the word SONY it's very clear and bright in the center of the screen.
After the TV recognizes a signal the, center of the screen is very dark and the right side of the screen almost looks like its displaying in slow motion. It does this on a regular coaxial input and on component inputs
I did notice one time on the right side of the screen, what I will call the channel identifier that's on the lower right side of the screen “History or Military” was all over the place changing rapidly from the bottom to the middle, And top of the screen. Like the right side of the screen didn't know what resolution to display. After the weird resolution problem you could tell the backlights were on but the screen was very dark and I had no sound, after leaving the TV unplugged for quite awhile sound and the strange picture came back.
If needed I would be more than happy to provide pictures.
Has anyone had this type of problem or know of anything I should try?
Whatever I do, I consider it a success, if in the end I am breathing, seeing, feeling and hearing!

Bad panel. Tab bond is failing on the right side of the screen. This seems to happen quite a bit on the Samsung LCD panels that both Sony and Samsung use.

Thanks', although I was hoping for a different answer, because of the fact on initial power on there is no problem in the center of the screen. And immediately when it picks up a signal the center is really dark.

Yeah I have three of these, a Sony, Samsung and a Toshiba. All have the same problem and they all seem to have a good picture on initial power up but once the signal is picked up then the fault occurs. It is the far right ribbon connector to the actual panel. The bond goes bad and it takes down half of the screen. You can take apart the panel and attempt to fix it by adding Bumpons to hold the ribbon in the proper place but as I have found out it is just delaying the inevitable.
