Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
Anyone still in possession of the main board for this TV?
I have a TV with some previous repair attempts which has two component missing,
Please help me identify those (circled)
These look like a mosfet switches, I tried to short one on the left and PSU turned on, but backlight did not and I did not see anything on screen.
Front led stayed red.
The TV model is Polaroid 2611-tlxb and the Main board p/n is 899-KJ1-IF2612XAPHLeave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
I think the problem ryn0909 was having with his TV is that he bought a main board that was not compatible with his T-Con and panel. A common mistake a lot of people make. You have to make sure the part numbers match, not just the model number of the TV.Leave a comment:

Despate to fix Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
My daily TV broke so I am at the Polaroid (TLA04011C) again, with fervor. Can someone (budm ???) answer a couple quick questions?
1. In a nutshell, if there is zero volts (actually, .54 vdc) on CN2,3, and 4, and zero volts across 30 connector, the power supply is broken, yes? FYI; Vsb is 4.95 volts.

https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...5&d=1369323553
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...7&d=1372466558
2. Is it significant as to which power supply components are faulty, that, if I turn the power on while measuring V1, 2, and 3, the voltage spikes very briefly and decays down to .54 volts over a couple of seconds. My digital meter doesn't react quickly enough to know high it spikes, but it's at least 4+ volts.
3. Is it possible, and also significant, that it appears I'm getting both A/C and some negative D/C voltage readings at a couple of points on the power supply. Even though I have the appropriate stand-by voltage, I'm getting really weird readings at the A6252M regulator (et. al.).
I really want to repair the board myself, and I'm going to try to get a 15 capacitor replacement set, and just hope that works. Is there any other component that typically would go bad causing my problems. I may be able to get a sponsor to purchase a new power supply if I can be 100% certain that replacing it would fix the TV. If anyone can please give just a little more advice, I promise I'll stop pestering. But, I need this thing fixed badly. Thanks.Leave a comment:

How prophetic of me. My old Sanyo CRT television broke down at 10:35pm tonight; 13 hours after posting that it was on its last breath. I was watching it, then suddenly the picture went all spastic. I'm sure this is a simpler problem to diagnose. Check out a clip:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
Unfortunately, I am dirt poor, disabled, screwed by the government, unemployed, with no hope of improved financial resources. Fixing this one (I got for free from a neighbor) is the only option, as I will never have the opportunity to buy one. And my old CRT is pretty much spent; even though I keep patching it up, the tube is on it's last breath. I'm starting to doubt I'll be able to fix the Polaroid, but I haven't given up yet. After all, I had it working (although only for for two hours), so I keep thinking it's some small issue I just have to weed out. Thanks.Leave a comment:

Lot of time invested into a 40 inch tv. There are easier fixable units out there every day.Leave a comment:

I've been back peddling to see what info I may have missed, and have to thank budm for the tip regarding GFI protection. I will most definitely set up such a circuit before further testing.Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
While appreciate your time regarding the schematics I've been looking for, I must say the copy you gave me is the same as the one I have. The problem is that, while the text and photos in the first half of the document are perfect, once you get to the schematics themselves, they are illegible. I think I have attached an example that shows the problem. I've searched everywhere for a copy that does not look like this. Sorry to waste your time. If anyone else out there thinks they can help......thanks again.Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
If anybody has any schematics for this Polaroid TV, I'd be grateful. I'm trying to determine which board is malfunctioning, and more specifically, which component/s on said board to replace. I really want to fix this TV for little-to-no cost. Thanks.Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
I had the TV operational for two full hours after making some repairs. Then it shut down. The cats allegedly pissed on it months before I received the unit. So, I'm assuming the problem it has now is new, and not related to the cat incident. I do have some numbers handy:
Model: TLA-04011C
Serial: GR7B0215550011498
Man. Date: 7/2007
Power Supply: 860-AZ0-JK371H
V. Reg: A6252M
Top Board
LCD Control Module or Timing Control (Tcon)
3240WTC4LV0.5
I downloaded service manual #20070613, but the pages with the schematics are worthlessly blurry, as they are on all the versions I've found.
At this point I can't be sure the power supply is the problem at all. With the wiring diagrams and a little help from my new Badcap friends, maybe I'll get this baby running. Ideally, I want to diagnose and repair whatever board is the problem as purchasing new ones is cost prohibitive.Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
I guess budm forgot about me. Please; if anyone can offer me a legible schematic for this TV, please, please do. I've spent many, many hours searching the internet, from Milan to Minsk, and can't find one that's not so blurry as to be unreadable. Polaroid TLA-04011C; or that for a TLXB-4011, or TLXB-4241 allegedly works as well.Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
I've had an AV receiver in for repair which was pissed on by a dog. According to the owner, it worked for about 2 days before it went "pop". It seems the urine needs time to cause havoc. Unfortunately in that case the urine had damaged the digital board and power supply, so it wasn't economically repaired (a new box had to be sourced.)Leave a comment:

Re: Polaroid TLA-04011c Red Light on, no power on
But it was in fact working, if only for two hours, months after it had been pissed on. And, again, I don't know that the TV wasn't broken before the kitties did their business. If they were the cause of whatever problems the set has, it seems logical that I wouldn't have been able to make it work at all.Leave a comment:

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by ipatchhello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

by russpallHi there,
I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.
The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
by sam_sam_samSee pictures for type of laptop computer
