Re: philips 37PFL7662D screen fault
Hi.
I have the same problem. I bought this TV on july 2007. The problem started around 1 year ago. To solve it, I have to knock on the left -in the middle and top left-. Also, when the TV has beeing switched on about 20 minutes stops to do it. I don't know how much time will resists the hits... As time passes I have to knock it harder...At first months was just a soft knock, not like know... also the black spot is getting big, sometimes almost full screen, but on the left is more black, than the right where is like with red color saturation.
Any one found any solution?? Any one tried to repair it through Philips Official Service? How did it costs?Last edited by gabicach; 05-25-2013, 10:57 AM.

It is a tab bond problem, just like this:

(Different symptom, same cause.)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.

Hi!
Do you think really is a tab bond problem? That would be so cool, because the repair it seems so easy.
I uploaded a video with my TV problem on youtube, I recorded this video just after turning on the TV, as I said, after some minuts working, it starts to be OK:
