    Sony LCD KDL40S4100 stanby flashes twise

    I have a 40" Sony Bravia LCD KDL-40S4100. When I turn the TV on it works for a 2 second period and then shots of by it self,a red stanby light flashes twise,anyone here knows what could be a problem with it????? thanx

    What works exactly? Do you get picture with brightness or a blank black screen? Do you get sound? Do you get sound but no picture?

      works normally picture and sound but just for two seconds and then shut down.

        It could be the inverter transformers. See

        If you don't have a ringer tester, there are other ways of testing the transformers.

        It would also help if you post clear focused pictures of your TV using the manage attachments feature. Please do not post inline.

          Have you downloaded the service manual for this set yet? In post #2 I attatched a link where this can be found. Does your set look like the one on page 20 of this service manual?
