Here are as many answers to plain bills questions as i can answer right now ( i need to go to my friends house where the rest of the tv is located)

when i turn on the tv all i get is the westinghouse light onthe bottom to turn on, i can not select anything else or change anything cus nothing else has power, with the flashlight i see nothing on the screen i dont hear anything over the speakers as well.

    the caps are nichicon(brown), rubycon(black)

and attached are the side pics of the caps as best as i could take them

The pictures are good enough to show there is no bulging. That is a good sign.

here is a pic of the logic board for the power supply with the reading i got.

i tested it a second time and i got on CN203 5th pin for the bottom a reading of .75 but drained down to 0 and 4th pin .15 and drained to 0 and 3rd pin .9 but drained to 0

and on cn204 the first 5 pins from the top .01v constant

That sounds like the power supply may be starting. Does the voltage at the top pin of CN203 (PSON) stay at 5V?

OK, that means the main board is not detecting a fault and shutting the power supply down. The problem is either a short on an output (either in the power supply or on one of the other boards), or a problem with the power supply itself. As a first test, hook one end of a 1K resistor to the PSON pin and the other end of the resistor to the 5VSB pin. If the power supply does not come up there is definitely a problem with the power supply.

also when we were testing the voltages we didnt try to power on the unit we just had the power plugged in. Is that correct or should we have tried to power on unit?

Try to power the unit on. Look for changes in the output voltage and the PSON line.

Ok, so I know I know, it's a Westinghouse....lol It's got the backlights but no video. Likely the panel, but I'd like to take some measurements on the buffer board with help from you experts to confirm. See the attached pictures. In pic #1, there's a nice pin reference to use to take some measurements. The large IC in pic #7 gets up to 60degC when the TV is on.

So, backlights, no video, go! πŸ™‚...

Help Request - Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105)
                    by EBW
Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105) . Originally stuck on logo with no response from remote and no firmware file available to flash via USB. Westinghouse Support stated it would require service but that wasn't a cost effective option. I used dental floss to remove the motherboard processor heatsink to identify what make it was (Mstar). Unfortunately that knowledge didn't help with a solution. After the heatsink removal it only displayed a completely white screen. I then decided to replace the motherboard with a universal 3-in-1 board but the white screen problem continued. This...

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply
                    by Seville
                    Hello all!

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply .

I have a Westinghouse LED TV, model WD48FAB100 that is not powering on. Upon removing the back cover, I noticed a burn mark where the AC cord connects to the power supply/main board. In this model, there is only one board combining the two functions. Previous owner said the TV experienced a lightening strike, but who knows. I checked the main fuse, tested OK. Here are a collection of readings from the power supply ports. Looking for some guidance on what to test/check next....

                    by JayPoorJay
Hi All... Me again. Begging for help. The guy who now believes it's possible to fix a TV (one of the millions) one can find on the streets of NYC. I hate hate hate waste...

Thanks to y'all's help I fixed and am happily watching a 70inch Sharp Aquos. Perfect. Learned a lot, replaced LEDs. Pulled screen/panel. Proud.

This is a newer set. It's a Westinghouse Roku WR58UX4019. It was RIGHT outside my place literally, and I couldn't resist. 58in. 500$ new, but I'm not a rich man. So, I want to try.

There is sound. It turns off and on. Screen is black. I can...
