    Teac LCD221d TV flickering problem

Hello: I have one of these Teac 22" tv's that seems to work fine except I don't have the original external power supply, which should be (15v-6A). The only one I have at the time is a (16v-3.7A). Would the difference in available current be the cause of the flickering,? or what. This tv is about 5 years old and user manuals and schematics dont seam to exist, unless i'm looking in the wrong areas? Any help on this model would be appreciated,Thanks

    Regards:Andy

    1. I would suspect the power adapter.

    2. Source of service manual.

I also suspect the power adaptor. You are drawing way too much current causing the voltage to lower. You may also overheat the power adaptor and cause a fire hazard

Re: Teac LCD221d TV flickering problem

Hi, I found a (16v-4.5A) power supply and this cured the flickering problem, but still gets hot of course, and i wouldn't intend using it on a permanent basis,i'me just trying to sort the thing out. I got it at a salvage auction with no power supply and no remote. That is the other problem,I've used a couple of those cheap programable remotes, but the codes seem to only operate the minimal operations, like on-off,and volume and change stations if you're lucky, so if anyone has advice on this area I would appreciate your advice.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
          by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
          1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
          2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
          3. Problem: TV shuts down

          Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem

          i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
          by reessi
          Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

Viewsonic VS16217 strange problem - white flickering screen on power up
          by domu
As per subject, on power up display shows no image, but white
flickering screen. Strangely, it only happen after power was lost
when it was on. After power returns - white screen only, but if
disconnect power for 12-24 hrs, and connect then again monitor
          works normally.

Any clues how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.
