  • Teac ledv32u83 tv loops on and off with logo only

Hi I have this tv and another that when turned on,will power up to the logo for 30 seconds, then turn off for 1 second continuasly, and can only be turned off at the power switch.
Are these repairable or junk now?
I have repaired many power and main board problems
but this may be out of my league, which is unfortunate as I'm seeing more of this kind of problem.

    Thanks and regards :Andy.

  • Re: kogan kaled46blswc Picture fades to the left side

Hi, this thing has a ROHS panel not a samsung.
These must be a clone of some other brand, and renamed Kogan for Australia, and perhaps
a few other areas. All the components, and the way they are put togeather looks
cheap and nasty, with no familiar named components.

  • kogan kaled46blswc Picture fades to the left side

    Hellow:
This LED LCD works fine, but the screen fades a lot from the middle
towards the left side. This is a gradual fade becoming darker towards
the left. This fade is from top to bottom.

The Right hand top corner of the case gets very hot,but not the left
    side.

I found four outputs from the power board for the LED's.
There are 2 for each side of the screen.

I tested the voltage of the 2 that go towards the R side (good side)
    of the screen,...

  • Asus 22" lcd vw222u Dim/black at startup

Hello, This monitor starts up with a dim or black screen and some times wierd colours, but when it warms up, it appears normal?

Is this a power related problem, or a main board problem?
I believe this is a typical problem with this model.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you:Andy.

  • Re: Ram Repair for GBA mounted chips

Well I didn't get to try the washing method, as I jumped in and tried the reflow method with a hot air gun, with no positive results.
I would say that you are right about the oven heat supply, as there are many chips, and on both sides at that. Not knowing which individual chip is playing up, makes it almost impossible to decide where to apply the heat in this method. This may not have been the problem in the first place,as Ram dose fail. If surface mount with legs were used it would be easy to decide,as you would have a visual indication,and...

  • Ram Repair for GBA mounted chips

Hello, I purchased a laptop at an auction with a 2gb ddr2 ram card inserted, but I was getting ram error beeps every time I turned it on.
I tried it in 2 other laptops, and was greeted with the same error beeps.
This is a Hynix 2gb ddr2 module, and noticed that all the chips on the board are grid ball array mounted. I also noticed a sign of rough handling as it had deepscratches on one side where it locks in to the slot.(no track dammage)
I suspect bending and poor handling may have separated one or several of the soldered points on one or more of the IC's.
    I have repaired...

  • Acer al2216w has 1 bright vertical line

Hello, This lcd works fine except for 1 bright thin vertical line on the right hand side, about 3" in from the side.

It runs from top to bottom, and has some color to it.

I tried some preasure tests to the ribbon at the top while it was turned on, but this didn't have any effect at all.

The location of the line is not directly below any of the tape bond connections, but in between two of the bonds.

I suppose this rules out delamintation of the tape.
Would a live pixel exerciser program work on this? or should I give up and...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

Yes, I think I,ll try to get a T-con board, and I have been looking for another faulty set at the salvage auctions, but I don't like my chances of getting the same model.

When I get another T-con board, I will let you know the results.
Thanks for your wonderful and time consuming help Toasty.

    Regards:Andy.

Yes the DG7 is the (LVDS) cable strait to the T-con board. All the 12v supplies to this connector are good and I checked the fuse on the T-con board and this is OK.

The difference between the two DG boards that I've noticed.

In Australia, we have both analogue and digital transmission, as this dosen't expire for a while yet, even though all stations have gone digital now.(we are slow down here)

When using the original board, without the XV board (IDTV tuner) pluged on top of it,
    I receive...

I stuffed up, I mean DG6 or DG11 removed (either one or both) produce 7.6v .

The wiring of DG6 and DG11 goes to 2 connectors on the Inverter board.

The new DG board is from the same size and model as the original and has the same number: (TNPA3863 1 DG)

I will have to buy some batteries for my camera to take shots of the board.

You found the flow chart? DG board or Panel? Oh well Thanks again for your help Toasty

    I will keep intouch

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

Now I notice that when I press the ON button, the volts race up to 10.5v until the relay klicks on, then it declines to 4.6v.

With all three connectors removed I still get 5v, so I re-connected DG7 (LVDS)
With just DG6 or DG7 removed (either one or both) I get 5v STB, but then when I turn on with the remote the relay klicks again, and the voltage goes up to 7.6v

While this is happening the STB led is blinking once every 4 seconds, because of the dissconection I suppose?
What do you make of this...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

The mains AC voltage is 240v
I pulled the DG3 before, but did it again. The set turns on but the STB.Volt remains the same.
The front Leds work properly, with no blinking.

I did the bench power procedure. With the set in STB and Amp limmit at 250mA I connected to pin7 on the AP5 - DG5 connector, and started at 2v up to 10v.
I noticed that there was no large increase in Amps within this range.
It only draws about 150 mA-200 mA at most. (looks good)?

    At increasing intervals I turned...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

Yes, it is. I removed the T-con board and checked the fuse, diodes and all smd transistors, inductors, resistors, and looked for shorted caps. nothing unusual there

I am going to search for the data sheets for the IC's on the board so that I can do a cold test at least on them. That just leaves the T-con processor, and I can't do anything with that.

I have found a T-con board on Ebay for $29. Im worried this wont work too. I will see how things go, and keep intouch.
Thanks again for all your help Toasty,...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

The original DG board is the one with the missing components, but must have worked before?
And I am sorry,I thought the DG board was the Tcon board, as there is no listing of a Tcon, or the Inverter board in this service manual.

My bench power supply dose have current limiting, and I thought about this before, but kept putting it off, hoping to find a more friendly solution, without frying something, but I suppose there isn't much else left to do. Thanks again Toasty for your help.

The original DG board is the one with the parts not fitted, and it must have worked before?

The new one has the extra components fitted, and it seemed to pull the standby voltage down to the same level as the original DG board?

I tested the parts mentioned on the new board as well as that 100.Ohm resistor and they were good. This was done after I used it, and it did no harm to the board.

Yes, my error,I do not have a new Tcon board, I was associating the DG board to the Tcon board.

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

sorry. I meant the H board for the RCA connectors. The DG board is what I have a replacement for, and the numbers (TNPA3863 1 DG) are identical, and so was the model TV. It has the vacant pads and labelng for the omited parts.

The resistance for FL4047, from through to ground,(1 to Gnd,and 2 to Gnd)= 202k Ohm.

I removed all of the rectifier diodes to test properly, and they were good. I did the same with the surounding diodes just to make sure.

I do have a variable bench power supply? Thanks...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

I tested FL4047 line filter = 0.ohm. and C7101 checked Ok. R1251(100.Ohm) and Q1148,and IC1107, are not fitted on original board, but are on the one I got from the UK.

This could be because we(Australia) use RCA connectors on the main board, and UK use Scart? I don't know.

The voltages for the diodes read, STB=5v and ON=4.6v. If I remove the AP5 connector from the DG board, the STB=12v on the diodes.

I did all AP board TP. tests, and all Normal tests were great except for the low STB point,...

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

Thanks Toasty, I did plan to get a proper remote If I managed to get the set working, anyway I tried the set up as above again, and the picture is quite good.

I can change channels and volume, but there is no volume bar displayed when turning the volume up or down.

The functions button dosen't display anything, no EPG, no OSD
I did the page 9 Tp tests a while back, all tested fine except Tp7201, which is a STB supply and should be 7v+-1v normal mode, and 10v+-2v in STB. I am getting 4.6v and 5.2v respectivly....

  • Re: Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD600a blue screen

The TV has AV input and AV output connectors(we use AV not SCART in Australia) on the main board, and I connected the leads from the output of the faulty tv to the input of an older but working TV, and when I set ths TV to AV.1 input, it displays the channel the faulty TV is tuned in to. This at least proves that the tuner is working. I still had the incorrect STB voltages with the new TCON board, but I think the power board is Ok,because when the connector is removed from the Tcon side and measured on the power side it is correct.This...
