Hello I just bought this TV a couple of years ago and about 2 months ago it just quit. When plugged in the vizio light will glow orange and when the power button is pushed it will change to white for a sec then back to orange and do nothing. I took it to a repair shop and they said the main board is bad and needs replaced. I checked all the caps and didn't see any that looked bad. I've done a lot of reading and can't find a fix. I just don't see how a whole board can go bad. Does any one have any input of what to look at or test. Thank you all very much

Re: Vizio vx37lhdtv10a Won't work !
There are a number of things that can go bad on this unit. The usual suspects are the caps, of course, sometimes the inverter board(s).
The first thing to do in this forum is to post a picture of the set opened up and then get one of each board inside. Use "Manage Attatchments" on the post page for your pics.
I have attatched the service manual for this TV set.Attached FilesLast edited by Dgtech; 11-23-2010, 05:55 PM.The strong-minded rise to the challenge of their goals, the weak-minded BECOME HATERS

Re: Vizio vx37lhdtv10a Won't work !
I just received this Vizio and was told I could keep it if I fixed it, I found u10 "V out" pin sheared off and not connected to main board, 5V in and V in is connected and soldered but with no out it makes that chip pointless, the manual has helped however just seeking some further advice. Thanks could that cause a problem. I sure it can just wondering if any one else has noticed this problem.Comment

Did you test all the LDO regulator, please report all the reading in format as shown by retiredcaps.
Did you also check the resistance reading on the output pin to see if the load is shorted.

Just as Budm is suggesting, you got to go through the motions of checking everything. It sounds like a repair gone wrong. These chips go bad but I personally never seen one blow off a lead. Sounds like they were trying to test it and broke it off.The strong-minded rise to the challenge of their goals, the weak-minded BECOME HATERS

Are you sure the output pin is sheared off?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by bobbyskillzHello, experts! I have a weird issue I've never seen before. I know some of you have definitely seen this. I think some have seen in. I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can give me.
I bought a E241i-a1 to use as a monitor. It powers on, displays the image, and has sound. I just can't get the OSD to go away. The TV doesn't respond to any input from the remote contol or buttons except for the power button. Is this a firmware issue? I can't access settings to reset it. A quick search for the firmware has no results. I'm lost. Please throw some ideas at me.

by mrtekHi.
picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED... -
by hollox123Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:
1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work
The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.
I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.
But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,... - Loading...
