Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested) and mounted this. This worked totally fine first day. 2nd day i got some horisontal lines(just a few which went on left side but also a small part over to right side of screen but not to the end of screen)
Was a bit dissapointed picture was not perfect but settled with the thought that those few lines was not an issue. After one more week i was back to square 1 except that this t-con with ribbon cable test gave following result:
Unplugging One side showed picture fine
Unplugging other side, distorted picture with typically t-con distortion issue.
were thinking it might actually be a bad replacement t-con and ordered another one from another seller.
Second replacement T-con:
Gives exactly the same issue as the first one, two ribbon cables= no picture
One ribbon cable= picture on half of the screen.
A small difference from original t-con though, there was also some minor distortion in picture on the half that was working.
Am i really unlucky with the t-con replacement cards from china or, is this some strange panel issue anyways? (my logic outruled that as the first card gave perfect pictures on 50% of screen with one ribbon cable unplugged)
Sorry for this bible of text, but what do you guys think?
it is so frustrating as it worked "fine" for almost two weeks after first replacement of the T-con.
Thanks in advance =)
BR
(edit i tried to google my brainz out and found some similar issues reported but never found any solution/conclusions)
