    Hitachi 37" Plasma TV

I was asked to look at a plasma TV.
I used to be a colour TV engineer many years ago before I moved on to Avionic electronics and then scientific instruments.
The owner had been replacing the fuse because it kept on blowing .
Now its like a dodo ,so I took the Murata power supply away to have a look at what was not happening ,one of the current limiting resistors on the mains input is open cicuit ,and one of the HV mosfets is shortcircuit.
Looking on the internet for the power supply I found a repair kit ,two 10 ohm 5 watt resistors ,and two HV mosfets .
Also advice on the internet is to remove a module called IC201 and check two surface mouted transistors to make sure thet are not shortcircuit, before you replace the two mosfets.

Hello, I also have a Hitachi Plasma TV that is dead. What internet site had the replacement kits for the power supply board. My board is also a Murata, but MPF7404 for 42" plasma. I have removed 2 HV Mosfets that I believe to be bad. I hope that is all that is bad but there will probably be more.

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
        by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

Harman Kardon sub TS11 (ds15 amplifer) blows fuse and mosfets
        by BlackScreen_22
Hi, I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert and I've reached a point where I don't know what to try/do anymore...
Starting from the beginning: I opened this subwoofer for the first time with a very strong smell of burnt electrical components, I realize that on the amplifier board there is a hole between V+ OUT and GND about the size of a finger, the damaged components were the shorted mosfets, two damaged zener diodes and two capacitors. I bought everything, I fixed the hole by cutting the pcb and putting a piece of a perforated board.
I had no problems connecting mosfets and capacitors,...

Intel D865PERL - no Vcore after replacing MOSFETs and MOSFET drivers
        by kotel studios
        Hi,

Finally got time to fix this board up.
At first it didn't give any POST codes. Turns out it was an unsupported Celeron D cpu. After dropping in an Celery 2.6gHz the CPU came out of reset with clock signal, but still no post codes. For a while it did work when I applied pressure to the ADP3168 chip, but on next reboot the MOSFETs started to burn. Then I left it as is for months.

Now I came back prepared. Replaced the bad MOSFETs and the ADPxx18k drivers. Now I don't get any MOSFETs blowing up issues anymore. But sadly, the Vcore is missing. The whole VRM isn't...

Hitachi Plasma TV 42HDT79 firmware upgrade
        by Yanleb
Do you know where I can find a firmware upgrade for the Hitachi 42HDT79 plasma TV? My set currently has firmware V0112.0001.

Their service website seems to be on SalesForce now, which requires a login.

        Thanks.

Gainward Phantom GTX 980 - mosfets w/ integrated driver NCP5369
        by flerre
        Hi!

Managed to get a Gainward Phantom GTX 980 in an auction for a bin with components.
No video out so I started fault finding and found a blown fuse for 3 mosfets. Started checking for shorts and found what I think is a short through all of those 3 mosfets; 0.1 ohms between "VIN" input and "VSWH" output. All mosfets in this gpu are the same ones (NCP5369) with integrated drivers and when I tried measuring the other ones through these ports they were somewhere in the kilo-ohms range.

So, could I safely assume all of these 3 mosfets are...
