Gainward Phantom GTX 980 - mosfets w/ integrated driver NCP5369

    Hi!

Managed to get a Gainward Phantom GTX 980 in an auction for a bin with components.
No video out so I started fault finding and found a blown fuse for 3 mosfets. Started checking for shorts and found what I think is a short through all of those 3 mosfets; 0.1 ohms between "VIN" input and "VSWH" output. All mosfets in this gpu are the same ones (NCP5369) with integrated drivers and when I tried measuring the other ones through these ports they were somewhere in the kilo-ohms range.

So, could I safely assume all of these 3 mosfets are blown and need to be replaced or have I missed something crucial? checked everything after the mosfets and can't detect any other shortages.

Is it common for a mosfet blow and take for example in my case two more with it or is it something with the Gpuchip that would break all these three mosfets and the card is inreperable?

Thank you for any answer, this is my first gpu fault finding and I hope im on the right track with it!

Attatched pictures of the Faulty components and datasheet for the mosfet, and here is the link for the PDF of the mosfets: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...fa920848ad.pdf

Probably only 1 of these is blown, but the VINs will be paralleled and the VSWHs also (through the coils)

You can either check the GH pins for shorts to identify the faulty one, remove the 3 coils, or inject 0.8v into the shorted 12v line and see which one gets hot

Ah thank you, thought it a bit odd that all three would blow like that. Will try removing the coils and see!

          LED DRIVER KEEPS DYING
          by osrex
Hello, this is my first post and im just a beginner, so be easy on me guy. thanks

i have a LED chandeilier that switches colors from white to cool white to warm when toggling the switch, it has 24 LED arms, each arm is 30 CM length.

i have no datasheet at all for the LED lights, all i have is its length.

long story short, testing the chandelier on the ground, and it works fine for 1 - 2 - 6 hours, no problem.

as soon as i fix the chandelier to the ceiling and bury the driver inside the hub,...

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
          by howardc64
          Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

          Model & Board Pics

          Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12

Harman Kardon sub TS11 (ds15 amplifer) blows fuse and mosfets
          by BlackScreen_22
Hi, I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert and I've reached a point where I don't know what to try/do anymore...
Starting from the beginning: I opened this subwoofer for the first time with a very strong smell of burnt electrical components, I realize that on the amplifier board there is a hole between V+ OUT and GND about the size of a finger, the damaged components were the shorted mosfets, two damaged zener diodes and two capacitors. I bought everything, I fixed the hole by cutting the pcb and putting a piece of a perforated board.
I had no problems connecting mosfets and capacitors,...

          Audio Driver for Thomson P14C4BK128
          by charif
Need Audio Driver for Thomson P14C4BK128 (Windows 10/11)

          Hi everyone,

I'm looking for help finding the correct audio driver for my Thomson P14C4BK128 laptop.
The sound is not working properly, and I believe the audio driver is missing or not installed correctly.

          Here are the details:
          • Model: Thomson P14C4BK128
          • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

If anyone has a working link to the driver or knows where I can download it, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Intel D865PERL - no Vcore after replacing MOSFETs and MOSFET drivers
          by kotel studios
          Hi,

Finally got time to fix this board up.
At first it didn't give any POST codes. Turns out it was an unsupported Celeron D cpu. After dropping in an Celery 2.6gHz the CPU came out of reset with clock signal, but still no post codes. For a while it did work when I applied pressure to the ADP3168 chip, but on next reboot the MOSFETs started to burn. Then I left it as is for months.

Now I came back prepared. Replaced the bad MOSFETs and the ADPxx18k drivers. Now I don't get any MOSFETs blowing up issues anymore. But sadly, the Vcore is missing. The whole VRM isn't...
