Man I amaze myself sometimes. That N fuse is good. The solder joints are all messed up and wasn't making good contact. It now reads fine. Blowing my mind here.

Uh diah, I don't have that anymore I tossed them since they were all messed up. None of the strips were different that I know of, they all looked exactly the same. They all also were tested and in-between connects too to see that they would light up. I have no idea how to test them from the ribbon cables driver side.

So the answer is I am unsure if they have it.

Here is only pic I have, would you be able to see the end of it from that pic?

Think it's got to be a fuse, they are designated F or N, only other N designation I know of is a resistor network component and that sure doesn't look like one of those.

are you sure installed the replacement LED in correct order... if you look on the old one the end and abegin of the strips how many lines you have... 4 line mean they will work only in exact order... like Hisense... one group not only at same place one or 2 LED from other strips will light on too

so gow us please the strips end of the old one

If it is a fuse, it has no continuity. And could have just been the problem the whole time lol.

Also no matter what kind of connections etc I disconnect or any variation of cable disconnection the power board always throws the BL err 3.3 volts no matter what. I have even grounded it per the video and it doesn't have the error then, but it still doesn't work.

Diah I have tried all those cables and combinations of those cables and nothing changes. But like I said that N component which may be a fuse has no continuity.

And story, do you mean the lvds cable from main to LED driver? Because I've done that and nothing happens different. The LEDs never get power. No voltage ever turns on from the LED PSU ever.

Also Sony, I watched that video, looks like he is replacing the IC for the main board ? DPS board? I can't Google what that stands for but I found what appeared to be in that video and tested the caps and they were all good
Ok, looks like it's the sub powerboard.

My bad, I thought you were highlighting the fuse, just now saw the N component.

Have you replaced the backlights with new strips?

If the screen is still out you can unplug the lvds cable going to the blue board and power up the tv. It should cycle the backlights in a test pattern. If backlights are all good they stay lit after the test. If bad they will cut off after test.

I usually record a video of the test pattern so I can watch and see what led is not working. Usually it’s only 1 led that causes the error.

Sonys are very finicky with the voltage and current the leds draw. I tried to temporarily wire 4 3v leds to test the one light out and still got the error untill I replaced with 1 12v led for Sony TVs

I'm gonna watch that video right now.

Is this N thing a fuse also? Looks like one to me, no continuity on it.

Diah, so they cables and LED are numbered from one starting at the bottom and go up to 12.
So essentially since the logo is middle screen I would essentially try disconnecting for example like 4-8 one at a time. Since they'd go on for the Sony logo. Gonna try it this way and every way.

Here's Nick checking the dps board/backlight driver board on a sony, he has voltage going in but not coming out of board, so he knows it's that board that's faulty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaCl8J1pPd8

Maybe test those little ceramic caps on your blue/ld/backlight driver board, check for shorts or very low ohms.

Test something else to make sure it's not your meter acting up, this is strange indeed.

full LED / Local Dimming , working principle like Philips Ambilight but here BL , the MB firmware with X engine sock will defined the Picture color position to code like MAC. this mean.. at start up Sony Logo will be only middle position LED BL lit on.. this mean too the other LED ribbon cable can be disconnected.. because no signal of MAC code will go to them, try disconnect LEDs cable one by one to notice any change at start up

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Sony RB2G Chassis KDL-55W815B MAIN BOARD 2 Blink Error issue resolved! Happy days :)
    by cheeky2
For anyone interested just repaired this Sony Main board TV that had a 2 blink error code, the chassis is a RB2G which is common to quite a few different Sony models. The Ceramic 10uF 25V X7R 1206 capacitor C9114 was shorted which took the smd 2A 0603 fuse out F9101. This was powering the Buck converter TPS54332 which caused no 5V output from it.
See the attached picture of the locations of both components. I also attach the best service manual I found for this board for anyone else in a similar position of trying to repair this main board. It's not specific to the TV model however it gives...

    Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
    by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
    CN6401
    Pin 01 NC
    Pin 02 NC
    Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
    Pin 04 "N/C"
    Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
    Pin 06 "GND": N/C
    Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
    by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
