why you posted these photos? i have asked around ICE1 chip..
i don't know how can you state in your test it displays all same faults, if no image present i don't know how can it displays bad colors and rows... keep present that each pixel incorporates a sort of a capacitor, so if you rapidly disconnect matrix and turn on backlight there can possibly be a persistance in previously displayed picture.. you must test it after hours.. or you disconnect power and panel after a black image displayed..

I messed with it last night and got some interesting results. When I unplug the ribbon for either side, rather than being solid black, the side disconnected is gray with the thin lines still present. The opposite side still displays all original symptoms and picture quality doesn't change. Not positive, but I believe this means it IS the panel that is bad because it's "creating" it's own image when not connected to the tcon.

Attached are the photos I was asked for.

It's not very hard, just type here your panel number and the first 6 numbers on the white sticker of your tcon.

Mine is 2010_R240S_MB4_0.5 and the one you linked ends in 1.0. I don't know what the difference would be, but I imagine that's the revision number.

Your display does look a lot like many with the bad diodes on panel driver boards, not sure what your model has on it tho.

Can you post good clear pictures of your panel driver boards, might help to see what all is on those.

I had the frame off and messed with every tab. Zero change. The changes happen on their own, like the red bars fading in, out, resetting. That's why I initially thought tcon.

I'd like to attempt to do this if anyone can help me understand which pins i should and should not cover:

I have attached up close photos of my connectors. I don't see any traces going BETWEEN the two connectors, but maybe I'm misunderstanding him.

ok only to know that you gave up, it's a right choice unless tcon is cheap , you could resell it, or if seller accept return.. these panels fails for one of these reasons, static charge, mains surge, bad tcon circuitry (maybe programmed obsolescence)

I haven't messed with it since you suggested it's the panel. I wouldn't take a chance on buying a tcon that might not fix it. I don't understand HOW panels fail aside from trauma. Is it a factory defect that causes them to fail? What dictates the symptoms they present?

It looks like the panel is at fault some how to me. There is a black band at the bottom of the screen in pics 1 and 2 and in the test image pic 3 that part is a good picture with a bright line above it.

    Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
    by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
    by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

Toshiba TV 55L6200U horizontal lines + vertical bands. Any hope?
    by oxi1158
    Hi all,

My TV had been showing for the last year some faint horizontal lines on all of its right side, about one out of each 4 of 5 rows of pixels. Not much of a bother, they were unnoticeable when watching a movie. Then, all of a sudden the horizontal lines became much stronger and crossed the whole screen, effectively making it a pain to watch.

I watched some youtube video where some guy "fixes" it with some tape on the ribbon cable of the t-con, so I tried that, but to no avail. Actually, after putting the TV back together again things worsened: apart...

    Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA Horizontal lines
    by x_orange90_x
I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
