    Sony KD-43X8307C bootloop

    Dear community,

    I came with this Sony set with a bootloop problem. Maybe you can help me out.

    The Sony logo appers, the android OS starts to load, then freezes, then reboots.

    So this TV set is stuck in a bootloop, the first thing comes to my mind is a faulty EMMC, but I couldn't find anyone with a programmed replacement IC or a working motherboard that doesn't cost a fortune.

    I Only have a CH341A sadly, so I can't flash it.

    I made some video of the original symptom, when you plug in the TV.

    And I also made one where I tried a method you mentioned before in the forum. Forcing the TV into green LED mode, hard reset. I also tried force it to read the USB and do a firmware upgrade but I don't think it's even reading it.

    (USB is 16GB 3.0, plugged into a USB 2.0 port)


    Do you think is there anything else I can try besides EMMC swap?

    Maybe reflowing or freezeing it could help?

    A CH341A won't work, it has no BGA socket
    There is no other way to programme the EMMC.
    Buying a preprogrammed EMMC is the best option unless you want to buy a better programmer, this could be helpfull for future repairs.

      Sure, but sadly I cannot find a place where they sell preprogrammed EMMCs for this model.

      Which programmer do you recommend me to buy?

        if you have whish to.experiment and maybe fail, then i suggest you a special usb dongle found on AliExpress at the ultra cheap price of 15 euro or less, it is designed only to program emmc on board with flying wires, some effort it is needed for things to.work, i have purchased it on june but i had no time to use it, it needs a free software, the names and particulars now i cannot provide you, i'm on vacation...september.. but.remember you.need.also a dump, this is hard to obtain..

          I will look up this dongle, looks interesting for this money. MAybe worth a try If we can find the dump for the TV.

            Search with Google for KD-43X8307C emmc, first hit is a seller and maybe there are more to find.
