Thank you all for the answers. How could I rule out panel or main? I have thought about disconnecting a flat cable from the 2 that go to the panel, to see what happens. and then another. If the failure is in both cases, it could be the main board, and if it only fails in one of the 2 cases, it would be the panel. is it a good strategy? thank youComment

I think its a software issue. Usually emmc goes faulty. Pretty sure a new mainboard would solve this problem.
Usually the menus are scrambled with big and assorted letters.Comment

the best way log in service menu.. if service menu displayed complete over the black spot then its software.. and you can from service menu do factory reset.Comment

Post more pics from the menu. You should match the bn94 code. Matching BN41 code can work sometimes but its a hit or miss.Comment

There's no need of any test at all, this discussion about if it's the panel or the main board is by beginners, the screen doesn't interpret any thing in any way about what's inside the image, so it can't invent to misshape a character font!!! I don't believe there are so many posts in this thread, some one must review its knowledge..Comment

I have the power cycling problem that is well covered in other threads and have been able to trouble shoot it enough using info from this forum to isolate the problem to the main board, and suspect I have the capacitor problem that has been covered so well in other posts.

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I have my TV model UE50KU6070 which I am trying to repair.
BN41-02528A / BN94-10800C motherboard.
If I disconnect the motherboard from the power board, the backlight works. When the motherboard is connected the backlight works but the screen remains black.
When I plug the TV into the electrical outlet, the standby LED lights up but no reaction to an attempt to start it with the remote control for about 1 minute. During this minute the TV consumes about 20W.
After one minute the consumption drops to 0W and the TV can turn on with the remote control but... -
