Try masking this area with duct tape.

Tested all the caps on the boards for very low ohms and found no reading below 1.1

Maybe try masking a few more lines, see what you get.

I too have the same issue.
Kindly revert me with the total number of lines to be blocked if the horizontal line has to disappear

Here's what you could be dealing with, sometimes it don't work, the short could be on any of them or more than just one as he explains in part 1 or 2, watch them both if you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfrRhw7-ZII

I've just found out what my problem was, one of my LVD cables was damaged, I tried another cable from a TV of the same model and used a piece of paper to mask the clock signals on the faulty side, (as suggested by lotas above, with picture), and now the TV is working perfect. I couldn't find any LVD cables for the TV, so I searched for the number on the cable 30107739, on Ebay and found some for a TOSHIBA 50UL2163DBC 30107739. I fixed the other TV as well, it had a similar problem but the screen was all light blue with no picture and it was the opposite side which had the fault. The TV cost me £20 so I am very happy now. Thanks lotas.

So to clarify, the only problem on both tvs was a damaged lvds cable, correct?

No the first TV had the damaged cable and a screen fault, and the second TV just had a screen fault.

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                        by smic717394
                        Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                        Hitachi 50HK6100U display issue
                        by MDY94
I own a Hitachi 50HK6100U with a display fault. After some troubleshooting, I've found that removing one tcon cable produces a clear image on the side still connected. Removing the other tcon still provides display output; however, this is a heavily distorted image. With both cables connected, only the top ~25% of the screen provides display output which is still distorted. It's only when both are connected that most of the screen no longer provides output. The attached images show the screen with each tcon cable disconnected, and one with both connected. The red line shows where the display cuts...

Hitachi 58HK6100U - Horizontal Lines (Bottom third of the screen)
                        by kdaniel
As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

                        Left...

Red patches on screen. Driver fault???
                        by MarkC1970
I have a strange fault that I need help understanding. The TV is run with a PCB labelled TP.MS6486.PB711.

As you will see in the pictures there is a red patch over the right hand side of the screen that is far more visible on a black background but never goes away. It appears like it is some sort of driver fault but I don't know enough about how these panels are driven to even guess where to start looking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
