haveing a problem with a dead short circuit after the 100mf 400v capacitor blew its top i have replaced the cap and fuse also checked the rectifier but still blows the fuse all other componets seem to be in order .so am stuck any ideas would be appreciated .Dave

When the fuse blows there are only a few possible reasons. Shorted bridge rectifier (D801), shorted or reversed cap (make sure you got the polarity right), power FET (not in picture), or a solder short.
