65v while attempting to start then settling at 1v after fault, 66v and 1v for the other.

Yes this makes sense. I should have stopped counting at 1!

          Thanks for your help :-)

Now the problem is to disassemble it, replace the LED strips, assemble it without damaging the matrix and its cables.

Yes it looks like a big job. I'll have to think about whether I want to do it or pass it on to someone with more time.

You can do it just take your time and treat the panel with kid gloves.

Looking at some Panasonic repair videos it looks like they had high resistance on the LED strip connectors - is this likely the problem here or are dead individual LEDS more common?

Thanks for the encouragement! A friend who is a highly skilled tech recently had a panel break doing this job so I'm a little hesitant! I might be ok though.

Ok good tip. Do you suspect dead LEDs or bad side strip connectors?

Ok so I got to the bottom of it. LED D3 on the top left led strip is dead. All the other strips seem ok.

Ok, this quote from your initial post was the best clue, it's almost always the backlights when it happens "backlight gives a brief flash then set shuts down"

Looks like the bl-sos 1 blink was right on the money this time.

Yes I feel a bit silly missing that!

Now I have to decide whether it's worth fixing or not. I can get a used BL strip at fairly low cost, but I have a feeling once they start failing the others may follow.

It is better to change everything to new ones, otherwise there will be repetitions after some time.

Sadly I don't have the funds to replace with new. I'd actually love to find a single diode to replace the dead one with as I'm comfortable with SMD. It appears to be a 3030 at around 5300k but I imagine it would be hard to match it accurately.

Probably go to about any tv shop, they're likely to have some available for a buck or 2, try to get at least one strip, may need the extras soon, that's all used ones are worth, be sure to turn the backlights down as far as tolerable to prolong the leds lifespan.

I can order a used strip online for about $20USD delivered. I'm not sure I'll be able to find one locally though, we aren't close to any decent TV repairers. If I knew the color temp of the led I'd just order a few individual leds. I have had a go at working it out using a camera with manual color temp but I doubt it's accurate without a proper grey card.

                                            Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

                                            Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers

Nikon D800 camera - flash don’t work and capacitor don’t charge
                                            by corrize
                                            Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

I usually try to figure these things out on my own but am asking for help now as I have been beating my head against a wall.

Backstory, I initially ended up with a CF20 Mk2 with a locked BIOS. I used aptio to read the BIOS and made the adjustments to the .rom file and attempted to write it back with aptio before reading other users problems with that setup. Well it bricked the BIOS go figure. Computer no longer boots, black screen. I found a clean BIOS on this forum but now I am having ME issues. So I would rather hand over the aptio dump(pre BIOS brick) and a hardware reader dump(post...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
