    Re: LC-60LE550U No Power

You measure the output of the bridge rectifier across its - and + pins. HS7001 is connected to the bridge negative via FB7003
If by KIA you mean Q7120, that is a 4 pin regulator for PNL12V and is controlled by the main board. If you have 13vdc on its input there is a good chance the power supply is working, to get any voltage OUT of Q7120, you need to take the PNL_POW pin16 high

If I put 5V on pin 16 I get 12V on the output.

The rectifier reads 67V for middle pins and 15V across - and +

your battery of meter is kaputt.. the board is probably ok, must be loaded with resistor in 5v and car lamp on 13v

You don't seem to understand what a bridge rectifier does. The two inner pins ~ and ~ are where the AC is connected, The bridge rectifier then rectifies this AC into DC voltage across the + and -

          The BRIDGE RECTIFIER is BD7001

Measure the AC voltage across the AC1 plug going to the board. You MUST change your meter from AC to DC to check AC voltage or DC voltage.

What kind of meter are you using?

I remember what a bridge rectifier is but for some reason I kept thinking everything on the primary side was in AC

The proper reading are 406V on the large caps.

Is the main board the problem?

All this means is that the PFC circuit IS working, so I suspect all the other voltages produced by the power supply are also there. Try disconnecting one of the flat white cables between the panel and the t-con board and see if you get anything on the panel, if not, reconnect it and try the same with the other cable. (don't remove or connect cables with power applied)

I see nothing on the screen when removing Tcon cables.

Are you getting any voltage on the PL plug on the t-con board?

There is 12Vdc on the right 2 pins.

The mainboard is still disconnected from the psu but im using the mainboard side connector to add 5v and the tcon is still connected to the psu.

Im using a flashlight to look at the screen.

this is not the way of testing a tv, first must check if the power board is ok, how i have already explained, after this youvdaj disconnect tcon and watch if strange supply tensions persists..

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

                          by meraklinetx
Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
