If the tv won't stay on with the lvds cables disconnected from the panel then the only thing it can be is the main board. There is no tcon. If the backlights come on when the mainboard is unplugged then the power supply and backlight is good.
Don't order from Ali express. Try eBay and Ali express as a last resort.Comment

Because my two mainboards make the TV behave "identically", is it the PSU to blame afterall...Question about the power cycling on this TV that others have experienced. They have replaced the main board on this and it did'nt fix the issue and now they are replacing the power board. My extended warranty is expiring soon and wanted to know if it's worthwhile for $75 for another year of service or not. Should replacing the power board fix this issue or is there something else that may come up later making it wise to extend the warranty.Comment

Take voltage measurements and compare with the legend on the board. But as I mentioned if the backlights come on when mainboard is disconnected that shows the power supply is good.

Or maybe the panel is faulty. For some modern Samsung models, the TV will not start if the panel is not working and if you disconnect one or two LVDS loops, then it will not start either, you need to set jumpers on the motherboard (T-Con) to simulate the panel (as if it is connected).Comment

The signals "FB_TRDY" are responsible for the simulation, you need to connect all the loops (not including the TV in the socket) and measure these points between each other with a multimeter (for continuity), then turn off one loop and measure again and draw a conclusion where the jumper is placed, mainly between FB_TRDY_1 and FB_TRDY_3.Attached FilesComment

@Devil rider, yes. Except that the resistors basecolor is different, those are green, on mine pinkish or more maybe like pig skin. And thermistors, green on yours and black on mine.Comment

Oh almost forgot. Noticed that after TV has been in standby for a while, the voltages drop. For example, the Vamp and stby voltages drop down to 8.99 volts. That shouldn't be happening?Comment

Samsung UN55FH6030, perfect size for my office and does OTA well but isn't a smart TV. That's OK because I am a TV station engineer and only need it for OTA monitoring.
About a month ago it started power cycling itself once or twice a day and now it's nearly continuous once it's been on for a few minutes. Changing channels would really start it cycling and it would take several minutes to stabilize but now it's just doing it almost non-stop without changing channels.
Once I disconnected the antenna I found that I could change channels with no issues. My guess is... -

I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...07-20-2025, 08:06 PM -

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.

I've owned this tv for 3 years when all of a sudden it started power cycling - with no apparent cause. It's not in warranty.
I know this appears to be a fairly common issue, but would appreciate some guidance as I have no idea what i'm doing.
I have taken the back off and when either of the two ribbons connected to the main board are disconnected, no image other than the back light appears on the screen, but the sounds runs. This happens with both ribbons and when they are both in place, the power cycling starts again.
Is there any recommendations on...
