Re: Sony KDL60w685a need firmware update
I have manage to fix the 5 blinks. The problem was the tcon cable that the owner has destroyed when he opened the TV. And now I am dealing the original problem of the TV. It makes a noise on the tcon board and one of the flex of the panel is on fire and you can see it on the photo. I have found a video with the exact same problem. Does anyone have seen this problem? If I remove the cable from the half of the screen the other half works fine!Re: Sony KDL60w685a need firmware update...

Re: Sony KDL60w685a need firmware update
I had already test to start the TV without the T-CON cable with no luck. The same problem. How to put the TV into update mode? I also tried to reset the TV with Vol- and Power but it won't do it. I have a white light for 1 second only and then the red blinks starts. I have measured all the capacitor and the fuses of the T-CON and they are ok without any short on the capacitors and no blown fuses. I have seen in videos that the TV should starts normal (without video signal on the screen of course) but mine it starts the blinks immediately....

Re: Sony KDL60w685a need firmware update
Thank you. I have put the file in a fat32 usb on the root folder but when I turn on the tv it does start the firmware upgrade. Instead it starts the 5 blinks.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
I can measure the 12V on the t-con (which in this model is embended on the panel flex and I can't just replace it) that comes ON and after a second OFF. Any suggestions?...

Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 boardview
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the late response.
Both are below 1ohm. It is a short circuit for sure but without the schematic it won't be an easy fix. I need to find the trail and see what components take part to this voltages and try to isolate the problem....

Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 boardview
Thanks for the reply. I have found this repair guide but I wanted the schematics. Even without the repair guide and using only the boardview I had found that I have a short circuit on the +1.0 VSUS to the ground and +1.8 VSUS to the ground. That's why I wanted the schematics to find out what is this voltage feeding to isolate this power and finally find the defected part. If I don't find it my only hope is the boardview and removing the parts that this voltage connects to. Both voltages goes to the CPU and I want to be sure that...

Re: Thomson 32HB3103 sound problem
Hi! Did you solved the problem? I have the same problem. In my TV, when I use external speakers or headphone using the headphones jack (the green one) the work perfect. The problem is when the sound goes to the internal speakers.
