    question about capxon

    hello,
so im learning a little about caps now and ive just ordered a new car audio amplifier (crescendo 3k). i found a pic where i can see the brand of the caps and the smaller ones are DKE and the really big ones are capxon. now ive read a lot here saying capxon are garbage so i have to ask, what makes them go bad? heat, vibration, power, what? what can i do to help them last?

i would just replace them as soon as i get the amps but im sure that will void the warrany lol.

thats the best answer for me. i have a pretty good fan cooled amp rack that keeps my amps fairly close to room temp.

and c hegge's habit of putting them in campfires is #2?

still, capxon fails anyway... they are one of the top killers of flatscreen tv's...although samwha is catching up in recent units.

KingWin ABT-650MM 650 Watt ATX PSU [PCB: SW8835REV:A]
          by momaka
For today's thread, I have a KingWin ABT-650MM ATX PSU. Official web page with the PSU specs is still up and can be found here:
          http://www.rmac.kingwin.com/products.../abt_650MM.asp

I just can't help it when I see a broken / for parts PSU on eBay that's listed for cheap and looks at least somewhat interesting. Well, OK, I won't lie – on the outside, this PSU looks anything but interesting. It's a plain gray box with colorful “spaghetti cables”.

What mostly drew me into buying it is its 2x PCI-E power connectors...

MacBook Pro A1990 stuck at 5v .592 amps
          by Fisher8865
          Hi guys

I have a MacBook Pro A1990 that takes 4.9 Volts and .592 to .615 amps on one port. The other port on the left side power cycles with about the same amount of volts an amps but quickly power cycles. The same thing happens on the other side but opposite. So on the left side the bottom port stays on and on the right side it's the top one. I think it is a CD3215 chip but I am not sure how to test it or where to get one. I have checked for voltage at ppbus_g3h and it has 12.6 V which is also on fuses f7000 and f7001 I checked pp1v2_s3 and it has 1.2 V then...

          MacBook Air 13" A2179 2020. 5Volts .250 amps issue
          by Stephen
Customer came in with shorted USB C chips, replaced and the chips are now responding beautifully HOWEVER, I am only getting 5Volts .25 amps (sometimes .243 amps) I see that the T2 chip is turning on, but I am not seeing any voltage at the SSD rails for example,
PP5VG3S_EN is not present which would somewhat indicate a PMIC U7800 issue, but I checked the voltage on the PMIC and that is present and not shorted. I tested for PP5V_G3S and those rails are not present.

ISL9240HI is present, I am also getting 12.30 volts at PPBUS_G3H so no shorts there. Both CD3217 chips were successfully...

          Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 - Not Powering On - 3 Blinking Lights - 20 volts 0.224 amps
          by bialag
          Hello,

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

          TL 072 op amps
          by barry wilkins
I have been making a circuit using a couple of these op amps.
On some of these pin 2 voltage is about 3 millivolts different to pin 3.
A few of are very poor ,could be faulty ?
It does not to seem to be too much of a problem the output of the differential amplifier seems to zero.
          .Does any one know why.
