Help identify mosfet 2000w noname power supply

    Hi.
Im troubleshooting a 2000w power supply for a mining rig.

Im looking for replacement mosfets for the 070N080C2 shown in picture attached.

And also why did they blow? What else should i check?
Do i need to replace some controller chip also?

    /Ken

    Google 70N80.
If all 3 pins are shorted look at the gate drive, if there is a low ohm resistor, check it for spec.

Ok thnx. I seem to have problems finding some to buy but there is a datasheet and should be able to find a subtitute.

          Datasheet says N-MOSFET 80V, 6.0mΩ, 118A

          Have found 75v 3.3mohm 120A

Do those work? Do i have to replace all of them?

You should be replacing all of them, unless you are in a pinch. You could cheat and put some different Mosfets in there, but it will change the rating of the inverter. Lower voltage rated isn’t a good idea. Look at HM70N80 at AliExpress…
Also google “finding mosfet substitute” and read up.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
              by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

How to diagnose mosfet with lab-supply ?
              by Acnologia
              Hello to everyone ,

So far most of the repairs that i've been doing was novice, i would say. With a lot of help from you gents.

Now ,i got in my hands a lab-supply. So , i have a laptop in my hands that doesn't turn on , remains dead , but at the same time there is no short circuit in the main line (as i think off).

I know that i should put 1v-2v to ground (black wire) and red wire to close the circuit to a specific place after the DC-IN port.
Now the question is, where do you place it most of the time , i mean in which specific place after the power...

How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
              by Jane
I tried to use this method:

              Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

High side mosfet of the power supply of the RTX2060 graphic chip burned out
              by zwerw3
Hello. They brought a personal computer for repair in which the video card was GeForce RTX ™ 2060 WINDFORCE OC 6G (rev. 1.0). Graphics core power mosfet burned out.
Is there a chance to restore the site where the mosfet was? I started to grind the mosfet substrate with a dremel, which stuck to the board, but for now I stopped and decided to ask you for advice. I also noticed dark spots on the PCB near the video memory chips. Does this mean that the video memory is out of order? I cleaned the place where there was a burnout, a short circuit of 12 V was removed. On the coils on the power...
