I ordered the ones from capking. samxon and rubycon low esr. Now I only need the 2700@6.3v , 680@35V and a couple of the tiny ones.

What's the difference between low esr and low impedance ?

None. Just different manufacturer's ways of saying the same thing.

I'm having a hard time finding low ESR for the small likes .47uf and 47uf .. Does ESR matter on these ones too ? Can anyone recommend a good brand and series for these last two.

            47uf 25v
            .47uf 50v

              The 0.47uF ones I won't bother with.
As for the 47uF caps, you can use either PW, HE, and PM from Nichicon, FC and FM from Panasonic, KY, KZE, and LXZ from United Chemicon, or Rubycon ZL (and maybe even YXG if they make them with those specs).
Both Mouser and Digikey should have PW and FC for sure. Mouser also has PM in ammo packs which are pretty cheap.

Digikey is no good for canada. They charge $20 to ship 2 caps.

A couple of websites have some listed but they are sold out.

Ebay is mostly flakes and garbage stock

Actually it is $8USD shipping from ca.digikey.com.

For Canada, try your local MRO store. The one that I contacted custom ordered two United Chemicon caps and didn't charge me anything extra. Of course the caps were $1.50 CDN each versus the 50 cents online, but it saved me shipping.

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                      by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Nitro rx580 very weird problem, VCORE and EN
                      by chaos-theory
                      Hello!
I have this very weird problem, I got this rx580 nitro saphire and the fans don't even spin but the saphire logo is lit.
All voltage rails are present except for VCORE at the coils, then I started checking NCP81022 and it has voltage but vdd pwrgd is missing, enable EN is missing it shows 2.5ohm, everything seems fine, i tried checking the back of the card, to see where the enable pin goes, i dont have a schematic so i started touching randomly until i measured a resistor on the back and the fans started spinning, now I was amazed like what is wrong here? So I thought it's a...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                      by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

                      Samsung UE32J5373AS Weird LED Problem
                      by sorrowfulfloyd
Hi all, first time seeing a LED problem this weird so I wanted to discuss with y'all before handing back this TV to my costumer.

This TV came to my shop with no picture but sound present. So I thought ok this must be a LED problem and I shine a light with my phone's torch amd and yup I see the image. So I disassemble it and before changing the LEDs I check the motherboard voltages (this unit works with an external 16V DC brick) and I see 54 volts at the input pin of LED strip, considering this TV has 2 strips of 7 LEDs which at 3~ volts it must be equal to like 42 volts. I remove...
