    Re: Troubleshooting Corsair VS450

I don't have the schematics of the VS450, but I have a slightly flaky CX430 that tuns off suddenly at times.

Is there a Weltrend WTxxxx chip as the supervisory/monitoring IC on the secondary side? If so, begin your measurements there. Check the +5Vsb rail to see if it is in spec. Then recap the bypass cap for the WT chip. Worst case, that chip may have blown and will have to be replaced - it's hard to find, but check at Arunkumar and SJ at Ritchie Street. If you find the replacement IC and it works, then replace all the secondary electrolytics like Teapo, Su'scon, Samxon with Japanese equivalents.

    BTW, I'm in Chennai.

Corsair RM850x (synchronous ATX) need help troubleshooting
      by W1ngl3t
      Hi all,

I have a Corsair RM850x that refuses to turn on. I have 5v stby but as soon as I try to power it up it goes 'click' and does not deliver any voltages.
I have not been able to find any blown or shorted components and there are no bulging capacitors. I have replaced the APFC controller and for a brief period (2 or 3 on/off cycles) the PSU worked but then the fault returned. Perhaps heating the PFC area is what resulted in the temporary fix?
The only option I see now is to start pulling components one by one, but before I proceed, perhaps someone more knowledgeable...

ASUS TUF X570-PLUS doesn't power on: no VRM_EN signal.
      by ShadowAi
Hello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.

Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.

After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,...

practical courses for troubleshooting pc motherboards
      by blues_spirit
      Hello from France,
mon2 kindly advised me to post a thread to ask the question(s) I'm concerned about. I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for practical courses for troubleshooting pc motherboards especially laptops in Europe, if possible in France. I have been a computer network system administrator and a corrector of administration modules for automated programs under Unix. But I really miss the practical "ops" side of troubleshooting. So I would like to start from the beginning: 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V and 19V tests for example, etc...
Do you think this is feasible for me? I...

GV-N2060OC-6GD REV 2.0 GIGABYTE video card troubleshooting assistance needed.
      by gcrezz
The issue with this video card is the HDMI port. Specifically on pin 19 (Diode checks on all other pins are normal). When i do a diode check on it from the pin on the board itself, I have nothing. There is also no short on the pin. Resistance reads about 200k. Normally on any HDMI pin 19 I would expect some voltage drop anywhere from .5v to 1.2v but here, I have nothing. The card is operational and can be used via the displayPort ports, but not through the HDMI. Attached you will find the pdf schematics for the card on page 22. I have verified that all of the resistors on this line before the...

Looking for assistance troubleshooting a Panasonic TC-P65ZT60 with 3 LED Fast Blinks
      by CrewmanRedShirt
      Hello all,
As the title states, I followed the troubleshooting guide located here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/23...page=53#manual, which concluded the 'A' board needs to be replaced. Looking around the net and eBay, I see that there are repair services for the board (TNPH1043UE? Not sure if it is a 'UE' as the suffix grid does not appear marked). What additional troubleshooting can be performed to ensure 1) this board is the problem and 2) since there are repair services, what are they fixing on the board?) I expected 3.3V not to be available anywhere...
