I got this ECS K7SOM+ that I want to make a custom slim case that will attach to the back of a monitor.
The motherboard has a soldered on XP 1600+, and is just a little smaller than micro-atx. What I wanted to do was take this astec 200W power supply from a hp and power it with it. The internals come to a total height of about 1 3/4 inches to the top of the heatsinks/primary caps.
What I wanted to do is take it out of the psu casing, flip it over, glue a piece of plastic to it to prevent shorts, and place it upside down over the pci slots, and a little over the edge of the motherboard (see pic)
Am I going to run into any trouble trying this?
