Mo, Some thoughts on your schematic. R34 is R34; 4.99K. C19 measures 100nF. The unmarked diode is a Schottky SB540, D10. L2 measures 5.1uH. To me it looks like ZD3 does not connect to ground but to where R25/EC3 connect to the transformer. It measures 2.9V (not sure of this yet).

I finally got the PS powered on and measured ZD3, it did measure 10V. So my earlier post was incorrect in this regard.

        Cool.
Thanks for double-checking these. I updated the schematic and attaching it below. Does ZD3 and R71 look to be correctly connected now (that is, one side to primary ground / negative lead of big bulk cap?) At least going by your description and what I've seen before, it makes much more sense for ZD3 to be connected this way... though the only reason why I originally drew it where it was on the previous schematic was because that's all I could see from the provided pictures. And yes, 10V for ZD3 seems a lot more like it than 2.9V. The idea behind ZD3 is to protect U3 E-C junction from overvoltage... and I'm sure even a higher-rated voltage Zener will probably work fine here, so long as it's rated less than the V_ceo voltage of U3.

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
          by aidanmo
          Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
          • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
          • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
          • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

Viewsonic VA2010wb (High Pitch Squeal At Power On)
          by RetroComputingGrotto
I've got a monitor on my workbench at the moment that makes a high pitch squeal (that I cant hear as my ears are too old) when you power it on and lasts a couple of seconds before quitening and apparently it can be heard at regular intervals whilst on.

On opening up the monitor and looking at the PCB the usual suspects showed their heads so I have already replaced all the electrolytic capacitors.

The other issue that was reported with this monitor was the fact it took ages to start displaying anything after pressing the power button.

Lenovo E15 Gen 2 Keeps Beeping Loud Noise
          by justice171
          Hello Badcaps Members,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2, and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight. The laptop charges to full capacity, but as soon as I power it up, I get a loud sound, and there's no POST.

I disconnected the battery and connected a USB meter, which shows 20V 0.23A when the sound occurs. I've already tried changing the screen, but it didn't resolve the issue.

When I use Lenovo PC Diagnostics App I get results as 01000

          Here are the details:
          • Model: Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2

          Citronic AC-1USB Output Too Loud
          by Carm99
          Hi
          I have a Citronic AC-1USB.
When I run a turntable into it and then try to record it. The volume is too loud and distorting. In the red. Mainly 12” Singles. I haven’t tried a CD into it yet. I’m wondering if there is any way to bring the volume down inside the unit itself. Change a part or two. Put a small pot somewhere as there are no adjustments at all in there. I’m looking for the schematic but not found one yet.
          Heres the circuit board inside.
          Cheers
