Re: Power source with loud noise and does not work well (FDPS-100N-R5)
If you are getting 10vdc I would replace the small electrolytic capacitors in the primary like C9, C17, C13 etc.
The power supply is working but is not regulating properly
I found these diagrams that might help.

Power source with loud noise and does not work well (FDPS-100N-R5)
Hi all.
Receive a warm greeting.
I am writing for the following.
I have a power source for CCTV system.
The plate indicates model: FDPS-100N-R5
They delivered it to me without igniting, I checked the fuse and it was well, visibly two condensers in the exit bulky.
It has an area near the integrated TL494 obscured on the PCB.
Initially look for components in short circuit or open and I did not find them (Photo with green marks these components are verified)
I connected power through the 100W series and the bulb did not turn on. The dead source, check if there is voltage to the IC and it does not.
I check the high voltage part and I have 155vdc at the output of capacitors C5 and C6.
But at the exit of T2, I have nothing, I dismantle it to verify continuity in the coils and they are fine, the transistors Q1 and Q2 are heated.
I remove the PCB Q1 and Q2, I measure them and I find one of them in flight. replace the two.
I connect the source and it starts but the transformer T1 starts zoning as if it had a relet inside (RRRRRrrrrrRRRRrrrrRRR)
At the output of the source I have 10vdc, but in the pins 12 vcc and 7 GND of IC1 I have no voltage, in all that sector there are 0.40 to 0.63vdc.
Please can you give me some ideas of what else to review or if someone has an outline of this source.

Thanks in advance.Tags: None

by justice171Hello Badcaps Members,
I'm experiencing an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2, and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight. The laptop charges to full capacity, but as soon as I power it up, I get a loud sound, and there's no POST.
I disconnected the battery and connected a USB meter, which shows 20V 0.23A when the sound occurs. I've already tried changing the screen, but it didn't resolve the issue.
When I use Lenovo PC Diagnostics App I get results as 01000
Here are the details:- Model: Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2

by tony359Hi all,
I am working on a sound processor, it tends to overheat so I fitted a fan inside. The fan is connected to the +15V of the PSU via a DC-DC converter based on the LM2596 to reduce the voltage to around 10.5V.
Unfortunately the analogue circuitry is picking up the noise from the fan in two ways:
1. The fan is close to the analogue section, the motor itself gets into the outputs so I'll have to move it somewhere else
2. Even with the fan running outside of the case, there is still some noise which is clearly going back to the processor via power line....2 Photos -
by dicky96Hi guys
I have a DynAudio DBM50 here - it makes a loud hissing noise.
It sounds just like an FM radio with no antenna (or tuned off-station). The volume of the hissing fades up and down, sometimes drops to almost nothing then comes back loud. It occasionally makes a loud bump noise too.
It does this even with nothing connected to the audio input XLR
Any suggestions?...-

by LvsitanoI am having some trouble with troubleshooting a Asus X532FL rev 2.0 motherboard, which does not power on. So at the first MOSFET, I am getting 19V at the drain, and then 3.2V on both gate and source (compared with ground). Of course, the 2nd MOSFET's source will have 3.2v at source.
First MOSFET is a QM3056M6 and 2nd MOSFET is a QM0930M3
I already checked first MOSFET and source and gate are not shorted (drain with source not shorted either). Also I have 1.7V at the LDO rail (measured at the keyboard connector, as the power button is on the keyboard).
