Weird issue with LCD TV, power board shows fried components.

So i spent a good amount of money and time doing things i thought would solve the issue before decided to ask here (maybe that was wrong, but thats what I did, and its not messed up more than it already was)

    LCD TV: Hitachi 32LD8800TA2 NA
    PSU board: PK101V0360I

This old TV shuts down randomly (and after a period of watching, if you change the channel), after that, it drops dead without any lights on, and if you power it off and on again, the power light turns green, you expect it to power on but the light goes off and its dead again. After 10 min, (sometimes half an hour) power it on again and it behaves like nothing happened. this also happens if you normally turn off the TV after watching for sometime and then turn it on immediately.

Decided to troubleshoot and I found some pins of a chip in the primary circuit of the PSU burnt. its the L6598 chip and the pins burnt were 15 16 (and maybe 14)

Immediately ordered a new PSU (without confirming the problem was primarily there, sigh). the main board looks normal. the replacement board arrived dead, though. looks perfect but doesnt power on. checked fuses, transformers, inductors, with a multimeter. and i'm having a tough time getting a replacement. I still have the new board untouched. mental note to self: (NEVER order from "narayanitech" online store in India
(thats a useful advice to others too)

so I took the chip (L6598) off from the previous board (the chip was blackened at the base), and soldered in a new one. read on some forums and changed two MOSFETs connected to it too.

    problem persists.

Didnt use it much after the testing for fear of blowing my new components. I changed all caps of the primary circuit of psu and some from the secondary circuit (couldnt find exact or compatible rated caps for some caps in secondary area, so didnt touch them)

    problem persists.

Interestingly, I can watch three hours continuous if i step down the voltage supplied to TV with a manual voltage stabilizer and keep it at 150V. I havent checked beyond that time, but in those three hours, i can change channels or inputs and turn the TV off and on and it doesn't misbehave.

attached is my service manual with arrows on the changed MOSFETs and L6598 (psu schematic on page 32). i did the comments with foxit PDF, if you can't see it.

So, now i think i need help seriously.
any ideas what may cause this behavior? (or, importantly, what may solve it?)

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

HP Pavilion 15-eh Board DAG7HAMB8F0 - CPU throttling to 0.4GHz (PROCHOT_EXT) and black screen

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

    Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
    by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
    CN6401
    Pin 01 NC
    Pin 02 NC
    Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
    Pin 04 "N/C"
    Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
    Pin 06 "GND": N/C
    Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
    by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

    After all of...
