    FORTRON FSP145-50NI B rev 4 PSU repair

This source has been on a pc was almost completely fried. At first glance, with his death did not want to go alone, she took the motherboard, memory, HDD and DVD-RW.
Vain hope to think that it can be repaired. I tried to power up, but no sign of life, my tester indicated only 5V VSB.
PSU waited a while, until I caught something on this forum - extremely helpful to me.
Today, after I have worked at Delta psu and concluded that I must be more careful, I said to watch it, little. And I found two bulging capacitors 1500uF/16V, which I have replaced them. But power does not turn on...
I keep thinking what to be, and I try to re-solder better the YEC capacitor 47uF/35V blue, not before measuring on ESR meter, just out of curiosity. Surprise: the capacitor has 27pF! The same situation with another identical capacitor.
Hardly I find a PCI modem with two identical capacitors - SAMWHA.
After replacement PSU power on , but with only 11.4V on 12V rail...
So, I can enjoy that I never lost this day. And I understand better what it means "recapping", thanks to @momaka, @Behemots, @Per Hansson, and others.

I think it is old group regulated platform, try loading the +5 V rail a bit, the voltage should go up quickly.

The smaller ones have the marking PJ78 GS1M

        Samsung Qled QE58Q60 restart
        by alex26
Hello. I have a Samsung qled model QE58Q60TAU.
The TV restarts continuously and without an image. If I disconnect either half, the TV does not restart, but in both situations I have absolutely nothing on the display, only the backlight is on. I checked the CKv signals and the rest VGH, VSS etc. I measured them against the ground and between them and found between VGH and VSS a resistance of 106 ohms on the B side of the screen (right). I isolated all the signals on the right side and covered them with scotch tape and absolutely nothing has changed, it doesn't restart but I have no picture...

        by tartuf
Note, I don't know if it's proper subforum or should I post in PSU one.

I am looking for schematics for two ATX PSUs: Seasonic G360 and FSP-350GLN.

Need help with Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 6
        by OntarioTL
I had a customer bring their laptop in as they attempted to change the boot logo and did not follow the instructions to keep the size to the requirements and went full 4k to which then bricked their BIOS (Powers on but no POST). I attempted to take a BIOS image from an identical model I had and cleaned ME but now that laptop has a system board error when I put the chip back on board. Thanks to Lenovo for gluing the BIOS chip down which made it difficult to remove. I did make sure nothing was knocked while removing the glue and getting the chip off. Now I'm thinking the U89 chip next to it that...
