I had a customer bring their laptop in as they attempted to change the boot logo and did not follow the instructions to keep the size to the requirements and went full 4k to which then bricked their BIOS (Powers on but no POST). I attempted to take a BIOS image from an identical model I had and cleaned ME but now that laptop has a system board error when I put the chip back on board. Thanks to Lenovo for gluing the BIOS chip down which made it difficult to remove. I did make sure nothing was knocked while removing the glue and getting the chip off. Now I'm thinking the U89 chip next to it that was glued might have been disturbed to a point that its not making connection after the heat I applied to get the U49 chip off. Something I need to work on.
Anyways, the customers laptop attempt with the identical model BIOS with cleanME did not work for me. I was wondering if someone can help me fix (get back to the proper bootlogo) the customers original BIOS and clean the ME as I attempted a few tries and could not get it to go. Maybe I'm missing something as I'm pissed at myself for wrecking my own laptop to fix theirs.
Model - Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 6 20Y0-S5HY0K
