Amano, FPT-80, Need help identifying/substituting this toasted diode?

    System Info:

    Amano Fingerprint Data Collection Terminal
    Model No: FPT-80
    Power Supply: DC5V/2A
    Work Freq: 50/60HZ

This device had a 6V adapter attached to it, and it looks like it toasted a diode.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me identify the diode, and a suitable replacement for it? I have attached some pictures of the board. Thanks in advance!

did you check the diode? that is a protection diode (transient voltage suppressor)(bdg) looks like . I would check the fuse (f2) and see if it is open.
I would think the diode could handle 6v but if it activated it would blow the fuse. Fuse [P] looks to be a 3amp.

f2 is not open, the diode has about 7ohms resistance in both directions...
      Thanks for your help!

*Edit* Just tested the power adapter that was hooked up to it, and it looks like it was putting out over 10V!!!
