Depends on what the total costs are and what you can get for them... LOL

I dunno. Fix a couple and see if you get any bites on CL for em. I wouldn't think there's much demand for them these days, but who knows? It's not gonna do any damage to try.Leave a comment:

Not worth the time and effort bro.
I bought a 1500W and fixed it for my use (I had to spend many days to fix it lol), sometimes its really hard to find the culprit.Leave a comment:

Repairing PSU's for Resale: Is it Worth the Time & Hassle?
I have about 20 PSU's that I've collected over the years, and am wondering if, in the most general sense, they are repairable and worth trying to resell on craigslist, or should I just sell them as scrap metal.
All are in the 325 watt, Okia-quality, low-end PSU range (none are high-end, nor even Antec quality), but if they worked I could probably get $20.00 each for them on CL. From what I've read, a good percentage of these are going to have bad caps and could be quickly, easily and cheaply repaired, but on average what percentage can I expect to be "simple" vs. what percentage are going to be "more trouble than they are worth"?Tags: None

by CronaxFDHey guys,
Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.
Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

by AJ847.63eHi Folks,
Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?
I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.
The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't... -

by rob777Hi guys looking for some help. Losing my mind over an old machine I'm trying to get going and cannot. It's a Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P.
Problem was it was not charging. One of the dc-in mosfets had died. So I replaced all 5 of the 6 mosfets in charging circuit. Also replaced bq charging ic.
Laptop powers on and recognises charger but battery percentage never increases. Laptop will run on battery power only but can't get past 4%.
I've uploaded the schematics if anyone can help. Page 55. [MOD EDIT] Link to schematic -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/... -
by madyoyoHi
I have a Samsung QE55Q65B with a seemingly common problem: it turn off and back on after a few seconds, (sometimes more, and in rare instances works for hours). D001 on the left side of the panel is very hot. I may be able to remove it with a very fine iron, but i don't have the equipment to re-solder such small parts.
Is there a risk to run the tv without this diodes diodes? And is it worth to pay someone else to replace it. I read many people who ended up with bad lines after trying to remove/replace them, , or the panel failing in another way, so i want to weight... - Loading...
