Seeing MPT-A230W in my previous thread got an overall how about this SevenTeam ST-251HR, badged for a local (now defunct) PC assembler

Nice. Not a bad PSU. I like how they covered up some of the 3.3V and 5V ratings with a "warranty void if removed" sticker That thing has beefy silicon with nice heatsinks, what are some of the markings on the transistors and rectifiers? It even has MOV's. How big are those input capacitors, 560uF? This thing could do 250W all day long! May want to recap it, mainly because of its age. Those JPCE caps last a long time but should be replaced. What brand of fan does it use?

Nice, depending on the model. Probably needs some oil though. You planned on using this with a 5V system? That 20A rating is probably pretty conservative.

Recently did a 30km round trip to collect my New-Old-Stock MS-6167 Slot A motherboard

I was given a Slot A Athlon 700 processor more than a decade ago (no exaggeration)

It's been languishing at the bottom of a carton of junk, while I waited patiently for a suitable motherboard to turn up at the right price (not willing to pay much to try out something of little value, which may not even work)

And it works - with Athlon 700 and ghetto cooling held by ubiquitous cable ties, using other SevenTeam P/S I mentioned

That looks like a dandy of a motherboard for a project. I have a Asus P2-99 motherboard with a Pentium 3 processor (don't remember the cpu speed). It was given to me by a friend. I put a couple of sticks of PC133 memory in it, and it wouldn't post. Then replaced memory with a couple of PC100 sticks of memory. Now it will post. Next, it refused to recognize a ATA133 hard drive, and a ATA100 hard drive. I tried a ATA66 hard drive but it was intermittent. Then I found an old ATA33 hard drive which I had marked "bad", a Western Digital 36400 6.4 gig. With this "antique" motherboard, it worked flawlessly. Loaded it with Fedora 10 and it works great. Only problem is I haven't found a case for it yet!

Since this is a power supply thread, I will mention that I am powering this motherboard with a Bestec ATX-250 12E with DM311 modified 5vsb.

Looks like a very decent PSU. May or may not have 2-transistor design, so check. If it does, look for a small electrolytic cap on the primary side (don't confuse this with the two caps for the main BJT base drive circuit).
