    Finding replacement caps for FSP300-60GHSR

    FSP300-60GHSR - 300 Watt 80Plus SFX12V PSU

The secondary caps are all OST RLP.

    7x 1000uf 16v 8x20mm
    2x 2200uf 6.3v 8x21.5mm

They're custom sizes so the RLP series datasheet doesn't list them. The closest are RLP series in 10mm diameter.

    The 16v cap has 1050mArms ripple with impedance of 0.068 @ 100KHz.
    The 6.3v cap has 1220mArms ripple with impedance of 0.041 @ 100KHz.

I don't think it is possible to use 10mm diameter capacitors. Does anyone know of caps that will work well without messing with the pi filters? It seems no one even carries capacitors with 8mm diameter with 5mm lead pitch in similar capacitances other than Nichicon HM,HN,HZ.

    Rubycon ZLH : 8x20mm , 1000uF 16v 8000h@105c, 1500mA ripple, 0.029 ohm http://uk.farnell.com/rubycon/16zlh1...16v/dp/8126291
    Nichicon HM : 8x20mm , 1000uF 16v 2000h@105c, 1870mA ripple, 0.018 ohm http://uk.farnell.com/nichicon/uhm1c...16v/dp/1823808

    Nichicon HM : 8x20mm , 2200uF 6.3v 2000h@105c, 1950mA ripple, 0.016 ohm http://uk.farnell.com/nichicon/uhm0j...-3v/dp/1823798

All in Farnell.com UK ... not sure about the lead pitch.

If you're in US or somewhere they charge a lot for shipping, I'm willing to help out but it's going to cost me about 6$ as well in shipping costs and then about 5-8$ to send to US from where I live, less to Europe.

Neither one of you have entered where you live in your profile.
It often helps to have it there.

Well, in case it eases your searches, the "more standard" pitch for 8mm diameter is actually 3.5mm; 5mm pitch is more often found on 10mm and 13mm diameter caps

I live in the default country (USA).

I've decided to go with nichicon hm for the 2200uf and panasonic fr for the 1000uf.

I've considered HN/HZ but they stray too far from the original capacitor specs. Although I need 5mm lead pitch, I'll bend and mash the 3.5mm pitch until it fits.

I'm starting to wonder why the f#$#$ so many psu makers use custom cap sizes when the pcb layout can clearly use standard datasheet sizes with a little rerouting.

            I hear THAT!

I got stuck with no choice but to use 2200uf HM 8mm in an FSP 700 watt PSU a while back even though it was over-kill because it was only thing available and a 10mm just wouldn't fit.

What's wrong with using NORMAL STANDARD cap sizes?
            CAN'T be that hard!

              Here, digikey.com, mouser.com, and a place called bdent.com
Bdent has a variety of Sanyo [including WG] but their search is just plain goofy so finding anything on their site can be a nightmare.
