Re: Sourcing Replacment MOV and Thermistor for Vizio VA26LHDTV10T Television

Finally got back, thanks for the replies!

Before I place an order for the caps I checked all of the diodes. It looks like D910 is bad (zero readings forward and reverse) and I'm not sure about D911 (165mV forward and 528mV reverse). I looked into testing the MOSFETs, my multi meter puts out 2.8v in the diode test, is this enough? I tried testing them and I'm not sure I understood what was happening. I watched some videos on Youtube on testing MOSFETs but none of them show a test with a mutimeter in the diode test position.

The only IC on the board is IC903 and it does receive power.

Were these diode tests done "in circuit"? That is, were the tests done with the diodes soldered onto the board? If yes, you could be getting false readings due to surrounding components.

You should desolder both diodes and repeat the tests. If you get the same readings, then both diodes are bad.

I usually test mosfets for shorts. I measure the resistance between S-G, G-D, and S-D. Any reading under 30 ohms suggests a short and should be verified out of circuit (i.e. desoldered from the board).

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Can not find Model/Value of Thermistor.

        Machine: Autoclave.
        Brand/Model: SANYO MLS-3780
Manual: (Sorry search option not working on this PDF)

Hello guys, this autoclave running with 2 thermistors already connected TH1 and TH3(on CN1,CN2 sockets). One for the water temperture and second one for chamber temperature. But there is another emtpy socket for optional third thermistor CN2 wich is for TH2 for object temperature. I wanna add the third thermistor TH2 to CN2 socket. But i can't figure what model/brand/value i need to use. In manual document, there is no info about TH1 and TH3 model number...

Magic chef oven - thermistor ref voltage issue
        by Use2bavolvo
I am having an issue with my wall oven temperature control is ~180f out of spec. The thermistor is measuring correctly but I noticed the ref voltage appears to be off. With the thermistor wires attached it's reading ~3.4vdc with the thermistor disconnected it's around I9.8vdc. my understanding is the temp is read off the resistance from the thermistor which leads me to believe the issue is with the ref voltage.

Another observation is the temp setting and readout at lower temps is way off meaning the oven thinks room temp is 300f and bake relay doesn't engage unless temp setting...

Sony KDL-40BX450 LCD. Thermistor gets too hot 10 seconds after turning on the TV
        by Quantum IC
        Hello every one,
This TV came to me with the problem that it was totally dead.
The problem was the two MOSFETs and a fuse resistor in the power supply.
The original MOSFETs were KF7N50F and I repalced them with SLF65R700S2.
The original fuse resistor was 0.1 Ohm 1/2W. I didn't find a similar fuse resistor and I replaced it with 0.1 Ohm 5W ceramic resistor.
When I plug the TV the ST-BY LED turns on, when I press the power button on the TV, the ST-BY LED turns off and the TV doesn't turn on until the second time I press the power button is when the TV turns on,...

Thermistor exploded in two when turning on ps4 fat
        by fab13
        Hi there,

I have a fat PS4 with the fuse (5a) of the power supply which blows with each power on and there was a loud snap in the power supply and again the same problem after replacing the fuse.
I did not find a short circuit

The component that broke in two is an SCK 084 thermistor (See photo)
        and measured at 11 ohm

        So far I haven't received a thermistor.

Do you think that if I replace the thermistor and the fuse it should go away, because I have the impression that there is a strong current demand as soon as you press...
