Never seen that one happen. On the other hand i have seen a power supply that kept running just fine while its monitoring circuit was pouring out smoke.
When you try to power the PSU on, does the fan twitch quickly or is it totally dead? If the fan twitches, then the problem is most likely in the secondary somewhere. Either a shorted component or a failed controller/monitoring IC.
Check for secondary side shorts, if no shorts, check that the controller is powered on and operating. You will need an oscilloscope or a multimeter with frequency display for this. If the controller is working, most likely primary transistors have failed open.
Thanks Th3_uN1Qu3 but i don't know howto
1.check the shorts
2.i can't find controller datasheet ("2M4 1000DS" label)
3.primary transistors, could you specify for me.
Could you please write in the pictures , i provided?
