Addtronics ENP-0735 350W. this was an impulse buy a while ago and i havent seen availability of these where i am since then. It is quite a heavy psu. My zalman went to the office to power my main pc cos 1 hdd more was too much for my pc there. so this was taken from my media pc to power my main pc. its 350w powers quite happily a 2.8 p4, 3 HDDs, 2 optical drives and 2x80mm case fans. i had forgot it was quite low wattage.

Re: Addtronics ENP-0735 350W
yeah it looks like a good 350w. i think it is before the Fuhjyyu popularity. it is a few years old. i was suprised to see jamicon though which are good caps. the fan was originally an adda unit. i guess they gave it the full 12v. it was quite loud but not an unacceptable whirr which i just hate, it was simply pushing too much air. so i replaced with a papst and the sound is good, the heat is ok. good for them to spec a good fan though. "silent" fans leave me wanting for more and heat up the case too much.Last edited by willawake; 12-24-2005, 05:39 PM.

Re: Addtronics ENP-0735 350W
My CWT 420W had an Adda... the operative word here being "had." It quit one day amidst the sound of grinding bearings. Well, it didn't entirely quit, but spun so slow it wasn't doing much cooling. Replaced it with a Sunon and ran a wire for RPM monitoring outside the PSU.
Got to see how demanding my current computer is that way - I have an Aopen AK79G-Max, very 5v demanding. The thermal controller in the CWT was running that Sunon pretty close to full speed (about 2900 rpm) when the Fortron 530W replaced it. The 530W handles it much better.

Re: Addtronics ENP-0735 350W
Darn, ADDA was one of my favorite brands of cooling fans. I have 4 ADDA AD0912HX-A70GL 92MM Hypro Bearing (ADDA Patented) fans in the drawer of the desk in my room. Very good fans, I used one to replace a Sunon KD1209PTS3 92MM Sleeve Bearing fan in a HP Pavilion 514n system, because it was making unusual noises every time I turned it on but the fan was still working and it was pushing the amount of air it always did. Put some oil in the bearing, and it works just like new, the noises gone. But, that ADDA fan stays in that HP system.
Silent fans are too quiet and weak, while those Vantec Tornado fans are too powerful and they are really loud, since I have a 92MM Tornado fan lying around.Last edited by Newbie2; 12-23-2005, 08:44 PM.My gaming PC:

Re: Addtronics ENP-0735 350W
unfortunately i have figured that they specced a powerful adda fan for a reason. heat was ok loading with a northwood but now on my media pc with a celeron 2.66 prescott and similar components 3hdds, 2 optical it is VERY HOT!
so i replaced temporarily the papst 8412 n/2gl with a pelko which is the most powerful fan i have, i use them on servers. they dont last long though. i also put another papst for case exhaust. seems ok now but not quiet anymore.....
looking at my main pc, the HEC PSU is suprisingly chilly.Last edited by willawake; 01-22-2006, 05:37 PM.

Re: Addtronics ENP-0735 350W
hmmm i added one more 80mm fan to my gaming pc and had strange startup problems (like dead pc) with this psu so replaced with the chieftec 360w and ok. maybe i am pulling too much 12v or otherwise it needs recapping. The setup is celeron prescott 2.66, 6600gt (has molex connector), 3 hdds, 2 optical, 2 80mm fans. but yeh it was a good idea to set up this budget gaming machine, much fun this weekend.
